Quoting: crt0mega
Quoting: liamdaweThe point is as stated, not making users resort to hacks to get a game working on open source drivers.
I know ... but changing a configuration value should not be called "hack" IMHO. DriConf isn't a driver hacking tool either, it's a configuration utility.

Edit: More informations about DRI's configuration infrastructure [External Link]
Let's not get pedantic about semantics. The end result is the same, users don't have to fuss around and search around for solutions.

Multiple statistics have shown Linux market-share doing better than ever

I would say Steam is pretty accurate also. As mentioned, Steam is growing and quite quickly in certain markets which is likely dwarfing Linux growth.

Remember it's a ratio, so a lower % doesn't mean the overall number is lower. Considering how it has been holding with Steam's growing userbase it means our overall number is likely a lot higher than 2 years ago.

Edit: Spelling error.

In certain zones you drop everything when killed by a player, full loot PvP is part of the game.

Quoting: soulsourceJust to clarify:
You can play Divinity: Original Sin right now with stable Mesa, and you don't need any patches to mesa to get it running.
This is my point, some sort of hacks are needed. This is one step towards letting it run without manual work.

Quoting: Eike
Quoting: ShabbyXHave you noticed the "GPU Driver (AMD)" trend graph has over 105% as the sum of free and proprietary drivers for Jan 2017? That graph generally looks weird: the free driver is on a smooth rise, but the proprietary goes up and down... shouldn't they be complementary?
You're right, there's something wrong in the trend statistics.
Yeah, will look into those during the week and get them sorted. Probably a minor bug somewhere.

Ah, yes, you can "study" made equipment instead of discarding it or selling it. This gives you points towards progression too.

Going by Phoronix the 480 regressed at Ultra though, so it still needs work.
