Article updated: You can edit your config from the desktop, but the controller in question has to be setup, plugged in and turned on.
There still isn't an option in the Linux client to use the big picture overlay though, that is a bug as far as i can see.

I have a bug report in: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/4309 [External Link]
They have reviewed it with no comment, so I guess it will be fixed for us to have what they are talking about in a new beta.

Quoting: chuzzle44I have been able to do Linux to Linux streaming for a long time.Quoting: TheBossIn home streaming has worked on Linux for a long time now.Are you referring to the server or just the client? I know that you could stream from Windows to Mac and Linux, but I was under the impression that it would not work in any other configuration. See Here: http://store.steampowered.com/streaming/ [External Link] I tried this with my desktop and my laptop, both running Mint. While they detected one another, they would not connect.
Quoting: minjI am not sure but IRRC the overlay checkbox you are talking about has been there since foreverLook at the top left corner, new checkbox bugged out by itself with no text.

Quoting: adolsonThe desktop configuration was there for a long time already. I keep checking for the other two after every beta update, and no dice... "Coming soon" - uh huh, right. (Valve Time, I know, I know).Yeah, had wrong shot in.

Quoting: GuestThe Arma 3 Linux port is being done on Eon. I'm not sure physically porting BE to Linux will help at all with bringing BE to Eon.I don't see a reason that an eON port wouldn't be able to communicate with a native BattlEye.

Quoting: omer666No it does not fix it. It happens at random regardless of changing settings or not.Quoting: GuestI didn't change any setting whatsoever and I had the bug nevertheless. I'm going to try clearing both caches, though.Hmm, if a combination of both of those is needed, that would be super weird. You'd think the fix would be one or the other.
Boss, can you and anyone else also check if not changing graphics settings fixes the issue for you?

It's really not that big of an issue for the gain we will get afterwards.

Quoting: SslaxxWould it really have hurt them to delay the release if BattlEye is only going to take "a few days"?Probably not, but we do have to respectfully remember how little a market share we are. They do need to have the majority in mind realistically.

Quoting: linuxgamerSpec Ops is VP, not Feral.Quoting: scaineAnd then find the PoolSize=10 line and change it to something more reasonable, such as 256.Poolsize issues are quite common with the Feral ports (Spec Ops: The Line eg.), though it is not too hard to get appropriate values by the command line, as described above. Why are the sizes set to values which don't even come near to the minimum settings (1024/4=256>>10) ?
