thats not correct Desura does not use 1:1 pricing, it's a fixed exchange rate(Also there was an interview somewhere where they mentioned that they never introduce it cause of Australia blah blah blah)

PS: If you pay with paypal on desura you can also let paypal exchange this for your(just change your country selection on your profil)
Actually Desura does allow it, and I've seen it happen on multiple titles.

A pitty, but I don't think GOG will ever support Linux. Not until it takes over Windows (if that ever happens).

I also now have that issue.

I fixed it by disabling the Steam overlay from steams right click menu on NS2, an odd fix, but the same happens with another game.

Desura gets the more stable updates as Desura doesn't support multiple branches they cannot put the multiplayer version up there apparently.

So it's a Desura issue.

I would be shocked if they didn't bring the expansion as well, would seem a bit odd to go through the effort to port the base game and not EW.
