Quoting: DrMcCoyEh, what the hell, it's the end of the month and I got a few Euros left for a change, so I went ahead and donated £10. Not much, I know, but it's about as much as I can give in my current situation. You have my public thanks, we do not always agree, but that is what GOL is here for, so all Linux gamers have a voice.
I don't always agree with you, but I do appreciate the work you're doing here.

I didn't forget, there are 100s of games I have missed out to keep the post from being 100 pages long.

Quoting: lordfraggerYo're forgetting tropico 5! It should be available in a 2-3 months.*sigh*, do I really need a disclaimer on every post that covers a few things...:P
Apparently not the best known series, but imo a great one. I've spent countless hours on tropico 4, which runs really well through wine.

Quoting: GuestI thought your comment was odd heh, I always remember 64bit being better than 32bit. It is not just more RAM that makes it worthwhile.Quoting: liamdaweAlso, I can't say i've heard of 32bit programs being faster than 64bit?I was sure I had seen benchmarks showing that 32 bit was faster for a significant number of programs, but a phoronix search showed this http://www.phoronix.com [External Link]/scan.php?page=article&item=ubuntu_1210_3264&num=1 where 64 bit is indeed almost always faster by a significant margin. So looks like I was wrong.

Also, I can't say i've heard of 32bit programs being faster than 64bit?

Quoting: GuestWhy the hate for 32 bit? 32 bit programs are often faster, and use less RAM than 64 bit ones. Besides, who cares? Both work perfectly fine. (And yes, I do have a 32 bit processor in one of my computers.)Not hate, but 64bit only in the future is inevitable as games grow. It can also create issues for some developers having to support both.
Also, I can't say i've heard of 32bit programs being faster than 64bit?

Quoting: adolsonI don't.Quoting: liamdaweDon't buy them?Quoting: adolsonEh... It seems kinda silly to complain about having yet another game in any given genre, regardless of saturation level. Especially on Linux.I completely disagree, we have a massive library of games now and it is easy to get bored when a vast majority of them have very similar game-play - platformers.

I'm holding you personally responsible for me just buying this game. I've been looking for an alternative to the X games for a while so I won't hold it against you (for now).
