Quoting: Quote from fabertaweIt looks interesting. I kickstarted "7 Days to Die" so I'm not sure I can run to two similarly themed games in the short term. I'll certainly keep an eye on it though.
This is actually a lot further along than 7 Days to Die, especially since PZ already has it's Linux version, I haven't seen any indicator as to when 7Days will actually push out the Linux version.

Also they won't be giving out Steam keys for people who purchase from them directly to which I have called them out on:

The issues where there payment system on their website sucks, you have two different checkouts one for USA one for everyone else.

Neither one let me order from the UK due to cookie and session issues with it thinking my IP wasn't from the UK and basically it took me a few hours to order.

Then i ordered with the wrong email and it took them a week to simply change my email for me, not the best service. Pitty as the game itself is more than worth it but that spoilt my first impression.

Project CARS Will Have a SteamOS Linux Version

Well it won't be available outside of Steam, they are specifically targeting the SteamOS Linux runtimes...I think saying SteamOS version is fair?

Personally I just don't really care, Steam works great for me it always has I am far more relaxed than most people about it.

I completely disagree that Steam itself is DRM it just isn't, To me it is no more DRM than logging into a gog account to have to download your games.

Like I said before Steamworks is DRM, Steam itself is not.

Quoting: Quote from Dawelots of complaints
It's your choice to not use Steam, not theirs. They also haven't said they won't have any beta outside of Steam just that the early ones might not be on Steam as it will be too time consuming for them. So calm down dear.

I find people who think Steam by itself is DRM confusing, it's no more DRM than having to log into a website to get a download rather than having a direct download link.

Steamworks is DRM which is different.

Also Desura does allow DRM.
