You know, your post is the perfect example why forums/twitter/etc. need ignore/mute/block features.
Glad I could be of aid. Keep fighting the good fight there, buddy. Always good to be defending those who bring up totally invalid criticisms and can't handle being called out for it.

Well, there are more than just one. Remember FEZ and Phin Fisher?
I do recall now that you mention them. How do these people not feel embarrassed for themselves?

Quoting: philip550cI'm pretty sure they were implying they would be going Windows only.
Quoting: GuestThat's exactly what they're saying by not supporting 'multiple platforms'....
Not singling out Linux there.
That's worrisome considering what the other developers were saying, especially Chris Simpson from The Indie Stone.

I find it odd how Oxeye Game Studio is considering ditching Linux when Linux has been selling three times as many units as Mac OS over the past year and has almost caught up to Mac OS in overall sales as well. Might as well ditch Mac OS too, no?

Quoting: FutureSuturelolwut, Garry blocked GOL? For talking back when he was running his mouth off? And now Rust has been #1 in the top ten Linux sales chart on Steam for weeks and Garry's Mod is constantly in the top ten as well? Those ungrateful Linux users!
Yes he blocked GOL rather than have a discussion on what he was saying, it was to do with him showing off weekly sales numbers, Linux was really low - this is back when there was no release announcement, no Linux icon etc. He blocked GOL when I called him an idiot or something.
Can't believe a guy like that can develop games. Thought it took brains for that.

Quoting: FutureSutureWhy are you suffering? The latest news regarding AMD's open source drivers for that card has shown remarkable improvement. Things are looking up quite a bit.
Remarkable improvement in the drivers isn't the same thing as remarkable performance.
Performance is quite remarkable now considering how poor it was not too long ago. Best open source drivers to game on.
Quoting: HadBabitsMy steam seems to have reverted back to just "Linux"
I have noticed the same thing. What is Valve up to?

Quoting: WotanI see it now. Well I think it's quite logic. They are showing their distro to the big public, telling them "Hey, we have an easy solution if you want to try another o.s. and play some games without thinking too much or complicating your life".

Steam OS is VALVE's Distro... I don't think that shows any kind of disrespect to other distros. After all Steam is a private platform. And as far as I'm concerned, and as long as Valve keep pushing AMD to improve linux drivers, I'm happy.

Gosh, amd 7770 + linux.. what a suffering.
Why are you suffering? The latest news regarding AMD's open source drivers for that card has shown remarkable improvement. Things are looking up quite a bit.
Because he doesn't use open source drivers?
Then maybe he should try them so his suffering can potentially end?
And get worse performance on newer hardware? I do give props to how fast the OS drivers are evolving. I myself will probably never use them however.
Sure, why not? Depends on what type of person he is. I would go for somewhat worse performance over "what a suffering" quite easily. It wouldn't be for that long after all.
