Liam, I thought we all disliked the "PC, Mac, and Linux" mantra. I also thought you at least had the power to say "Windows, Mac, and Linux" on your own website!

Preorder Apotheon for Steam! Includes a copy of Capsized (DRM-free and Steam key). That makes it sound like you can will be preordering Apotheon through Steam and that Capsized comes without DRM and a Steam key. Nevertheless, the Capsized website only has a purchase link that leads to Steam, and Apotheon is being sold via the Humble Widget. What's what now?

Quoting: Quote from dimkoFrankly with natural selection 2 and Nuclear Down - I don't think this game is any more relevant.Read what everybody else has written. In addition, from what I've read, Nuclear Dawn's community is practically dead, and Natural Selection 2 is still a poor port. Unvanquished all the way for me. If Liam stopped reporting on these free, open source efforts simply because they lack scale compared to their proprietary counterparts, I would be highly disappointed.
Quoting: Quote from B1-66ERDKNS2 has frankly done a shit job with their Linux support, the game still has serious game stopping bug and the fixes are coming so slowly..So Natural Selection 2 is still not working properly on Linux? I got a copy free of charge from someone who really digs the game after I voiced my fears of it being a crap port. I am glad it was free, as the frequent crashing just confirmed my fears. That, plus I would rather give my money to free, open source efforts like Unvanquished. Sadly, the team does not accept donations currently.
The main difference between Unvanquished, NS2 and Nuclear Dawn is that Unvanquished is the only one that does not require a single commander..
You can easily lose a game because your commander is bad even thou therest of the team is actually good... And many times nobody wants to be commander and the game cannot start without one (NS2).
Everyone can build in Unvanquished, and in an FPS perspective not a top down one.
I for one love to see Tremulous being resurrected in the form of Unvanquished.

Looks great! I am glad it's now coming to Linux as I noticed the game several months ago. Reminds me of Castlevania! Is Capsized available on the Humble Store and free of DRM as well? Just seems to be on Steam so far. Weird that there's one (Apotheon) but not the other (Capsized).
Help Improve OpenGL Support In Mesa Drivers

I am still too much of a Linux n00b. So Mesa is the open source implementation of OpenGL which itself is not actually open source. The more Mesa is improved, the better games will run on Nouveau and AMD's various open source drivers. I know that Intel has a lot of developers working on its open source driver for Linux and I assume they work on Mesa as well, but apparently that ain't enough. Arceri created a debugger with his last campaign as far as I recall and is now doing a new campaign to do another Mesa related project to tackle a problem he encountered in his last campaign. Am I getting this right?

Quoting: Quote from intokI would like that as well. It should be opt out instead of opt in and should be for everybody, not a random sample.Quoting: Quote from QantouriscAlso on top of the not-getting-survey: how accurate are these tests ? Are they accurate to 0.03% ?!?In your Steam client go to

This is the data sent to Valve for these surveys. Why they don't just gather this data at login I'll never understand.

Thank you very much for this video! You do them very well, Sabun, so please continue your good work. There's also something about your voice...I can't pinpoint it, but to me it sounds like you're genuinely interested and inquisitive i.e. you're displaying a very good attitude! Like I said, please continue your good work! In addition, have you thought of trying a distro that uses KDE with "Suspend desktop effects for fullscreen windows" checked? That's supposed to give a significant boost to one's frames per second when playing a game, so with Ubuntu being so darn close to Windows in performance, a distro like Manjaro running KDE should do even better!
