Borderlands 3 has been taking all my gaming time. I got through the main story and 2 DLCs so far, but still a load of content to go. Total madness I tell you!
What have you been playing recently, come tell your thoughts

Quoting: rustybroomhandleI guess this is one port which benefits directly from the Stadia port, where they needed Vulkan already.Quoting: PhlebiacA bit off topic, but what happened to the native port of Metro Exodus? Still coming? Canceled?I hope it's still coming. Interesting note on that - the native port uses libdxvk.so

I've been continuing with F1 2017 to finally finish the season I started about a year ago. I'm currently tied 2nd and just 6 points behind the leader, with just one race to go. It's all or nothing now...

I've been flying around Rio in X-Plane 11 with the "new" vulkan renderer (very smooth), and checking out the latest update in No Man's Sky.

Batman: Arkham Knight. This was once promised as a Linux port, but got canned after a very messy Windows launch. It's running well in Proton. Just a crash from time to time, but not often enough to really bother.

I've been trying GRID in Stadia, and it's been smooth and without any input lag that I could tell. I didn't expect such a good result to be honest.
Also Street Fighter V using the latest Proton version. I still remember that full page Steam banner about this coming to SteamOS ;-) so it's nice that it can now be played on Linux, even if not native.

X-Plane 11.50 has a first Beta with Vulkan API support which should improve performance

steamfossilize_i386.json
steamoverlay_i386.json
Steam recreates them each time you launch it, so you need to delete the files before launching X-plane, like that script is doing.
About Vulkan performance, initial tests show up to 50% increase in FPS for me, and a lot smoother to boot. Looking good!

Quoting: Xaero_VincentFor me X-Plane is working with Vulkan after deleting just these 2 i386 files under ~/.local/share/vulkan/implicit_layer.d:Quoting: knroWith NVidia latest drivers here but getting Vulkan Error!Saw someone mention the files in that folder causing issues. Maybe try this script and see if it works for you with the native Linux version of the game:
steamoverlayvulkanlayer.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
What to do?
#!/bin/bash
# xplanefix.sh
killall steam
rm ~/.local/share/vulkan/implicit_layer.d/*
sleep 5
steam &
while [ 1 ]; do
sleep 1
if [[ $(pidof steam) ]]; then
if [[ $(ls ~/.local/share/vulkan/implicit_layer.d) ]]; then
sleep 10
rm ~/.local/share/vulkan/implicit_layer.d/*
steam steam://rungameid/269950
exit

Monopoly is not enough! I'm not joining Stadia until they have Solitaire, then I might finally have some smooth animations happening :)
