Quoting: taosecurity"Windows runs as a VM inside a Docker/Podman container, we communicate with it using the WinBoat Guest Server to retrieve data we need from Windows. For compositing applications as native OS-level windows, we use FreeRDP together with Windows's RemoteApp protocol."

I don't see how this is better than just running a Windows VM?
It IS a VM and sure you can do everything this does yourself.. its the simplicity this gives people with the setup process that IMO makes this appealing

TBH as someone thats developing a new Distro from an upstream Distro I am hoping the day comes 32 bit can be dropped but still maintain compatibility because my current repo size is 305 GB large haha.. if I could get rid of the 32 bit portion or a vast majority of it would be about half that size lol

I see a large overlap between that and Lutris.
Not sure if there is enough difference to be worth the effort instead of joining up with the existing projects.
Lutris is pretty much a dead project. Besides Playnite offers TONS of features over anything like Lutris and the guy adding Proton/WINE support is the cherry on top. I welcome Playnite to Linux

Mangohud doesn't work on the native build, so it's hard to say exactly how well it's running
Mangohud works fine for me on my Distro so maybe just a SteamOS thing

Funny how Microsoft themselves enable anti-cheat on Linux while some other developers don't. You would expect the opposite to happen.
They have said for MANY years now they want their games on as many platforms as possible as frankly they don't care where you play your games.. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point they don't just outright release the Xbox app or some form of it on Linux, actually after some thought I actually think they are slowly turning battle.net into the Xbox/Gamepass app for Linux.. like cause think about it doesn't actually make ANY sense for them to be adding non Blizzard/Activision games to battle.net if that wasn't their plan considering on windows all the games are on the xbox app
