Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf being delisted so grab it quick in this bundle

Meh, I prefer WHF. Dawn of War is really the only good 40k game series in my mind.

Meanwhile, I'm saving up for BG3. After all, ol' "Uncle El" is my avatar!

Creature-collecting life-sim Moonstone Island is out now

Another addition to the "when my rich uncle gets out of the poor house" list! :woot:

I believe this ol' Jim and Jesse tune fits my situation and the theme of the game. [External Link]

But it'll have to be something special to beat out Stardew Valley in my mind.

For my money, a farming sim should make the villagers interesting and fun to interact with. (Most recent SoS/HM games might as well use cardboard cutouts. The remake of Mineral Town being an exception.) Stardew has this in spades.

I haven't started Portia yet, even though I've owned it for years.

Stardew is just too good. Between my Linux PC, Switch, PS4, and phone, I've invested ~1000 hours into a game I've purchased four times! I'll happily buy every port for any device I happen to own! Plus, what other $15 game has received this level of support, post launch?

Quoting: redneckdrowTurnip?! I just got used to potato meaning under-powered; now they have to throw brands named for other roots and tubers in the mix? I really hate modern internet slang!
This is no slang, Turnip is just the name of a Vulkan Driver inside mesa. Just search the web for "mesa Turnip". Same as RADV (AMD), ANV (Intel), Dozen (DX12), etc. Here it's used for Qualcom Adreno GPUs (mobile devices mostly). Look for the "tu" column on https://mesamatrix.net/ [External Link]

I'm not sure where the name comes from, but at least it's simple to remember and quite searchable.

A few more search hits for it:

I doubt you'd find some info regarding this on Urban Dictionary.
I'm aware, I was making a poor joke. :whistle::grin:

I tend to forget that corny jokes seem to go sideways when not made in-person. I apologize.

Quoting: Vasya SovariThis is inherent to the nature of the English language. I'm a 45yo native speaker, and new terms arrive so rapidly I don't even bother *trying* to keep up. If a sentence makes no sense I simply assume it wasn't targeted at me, ignore it and move on.
You ain't whistlin' Dixie! Bein' from the great Commonwealth of Kentucky, I've been out of state four times in my entire life. I've got plenty of time for vernacular, just not on the internet. In-person, most people from elsewhere assume I'm just a hick who only listens to "hillbilly music". They're mostly right.

Until I start asking whether they like Dickens or Tolstoy better, that is. Know-whut-I-mean, Vern? [External Link] (Jim Varney was one of the best comedians that ever lived.)

Quoting: tuubiSpecialist jargon can facilitate more efficient communication of ideas between people acquainted with the subject, so it's not a bad thing in general. Slang is more of a social phenomenon, and many of the common phrases and words we all use today were once what we'd have considered slang of one group/subculture or another.

This windmill isn't worth tilting at.
I'll have you know, I read Don Quixote; both the official and unofficial parts! It was a rather ill-advised curiosity. I have yet to become so senile as our hero. Who am I again, Sancho? :whistle

It makes me feel like taking the A.P. English exams in my Junior/Senior years was a waste. No one seems to care about the language anymore, save academia.

I have to keep the Urban Dictionary bookmarked just to parse what some websites' posts mean!

I feel like taking a page out of Cato the Elder's book and ending totally unrelated posts around the internet with:

Unitas delenda est

or

Unitas ludus machinam delendam esse

It was, after all, what one might call one of the earliest examples of a "meme". Though, the term didn't exist until a certain British biologist coined it in 1973.

Spoiler, click me
(*grumble* Thanks Dawkins, you idiotic genius! You ruined the internet for anyone over six before it even existed! *grumble*)

Plus, an internet meme is a slightly different concept.

As a Kentuckian myself, who lives ~20-25 minutes away from where the game is set, my answer is an emphatic yes!

Not only do I love adventure games, it's got a great soundtrack! How many games do y'all know of that have this much Bluegrass/Bluegrass Gospel? Their version of Long Journey Home [External Link] is pretty doggone good.

My own tirade would be something like the Reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks. Probably the version of the translation that gets creative in its means to avoid swearing.
