Interactive sci-fi adventure novel The Away Team releases the Lost Exodus update
29 October 2018 at 10:43 am UTC

I played the game before the update and it was already quite interesting, especially as an interactive fiction afficionado. I'm looking forward to trying this update, Cheese has done a lot of good work addressing some of the game's shortcomings (I think I can now tick off most of the pain points I had sent him in my "QA testing" playthrough) and adding more content.

Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor enters Early Access and it's fantastic, you can win a key

I'd also be interested in a key, it's been on my "could be cool to test" list for a while :)

Quoting: GuestWould be interesting to hear something about their Vulkan progress :-)
It's not being worked on officially yet as it's not on the roadmap for 3.1.

Some contributors have started initial work on setting up the necessary context to have a Vulkan renderer and show a window, but that's about it. The actual work on the Vulkan renderer will start once 3.1 is published.

I played this game on Linux and loved it, but indeed there were quite a few issues. You had to use a beta branch to get things to work kinda, and the performance was quite bad, with strong memory leaks that would bring my laptop to a crawl after an hour or two.

It's a shame that they couldn't continue working on that port, and I'm sad that I can't play the follow-up games, but I understand their reasons. Adobe is definitely not Linux's friend.

The trailer definitely looks promising, I'd love to give it a try and make sure it runs flawlessly on Linux :)

Party-based RPG 'Tower of Time' is now out in full and it's great

I bought it a few weeks before the launch while it was on Early Access, after you covered their good efforts to ensure Linux compatibility. Since then I've played 10 hours or so and enjoyed it a lot - and I see a big patch just landed in refactoring quite a few things, so I'm looking forward to seeing what changed.

Quoting: inlinuxdudeWent and bought it, and left a comment on their update thread letting them know I did so because they worked so hard on the Linux issues.. https://steamcommunity.com/games/617480/announcements/detail/1656636766775738465
Heh, I did the same :)

Nice! For those like me who can't seem able to add it to their library due to already owning Episode 1 - Paris after getting the similar free Winter holiday pack, here's a workaround:

Go to https://steamdb.info/app/439890/ and click the "Free" button, and let it open the steam:// URI in your Steam client. That worked for me to add it as an owned DLC.

Now I should actually take time to play those two episodes and buy the rest from the Feral store :D

Awesome news! I played and loved Life is Strange on Linux, and I'm really looking forward to playing the prequel too.

I'll definitely grab it on day 1, and directly from the Feral Store to give them the highest cut possible.

The challenging space sim 'Deep Sixed' has launched with Linux support, some thoughts

I've played 6 hours of the game so far, and I absolutely love it. It's so refreshing to get a real *hard* game where you don't get bored when playing in the normal difficulty. Liam's writeup describes it very well, the game is frantic and sweat-inducing, and that's cool :D
