A New BATTLETECH Game From Harebrained Schemes Is On Kickstarter, Funded Already

Quoting: LiamWe don't often cover crowdfunding, especially not a single project by itself, but Harebrained Schemes have done great with their Linux support. BATTLETECH has a Linux version offered straight up, with no stretch goal either, so I consider this a pretty safe bet.I agree with this. Harebrained so far has earned pretty good reputation. I'm really glad they're doing other things than just Shadowrun (which is still great in itself). I never saw the appeal of battlemechs and japanese Gundams, but I'm still looking out for their Necropolis game.

Also, it is worth mentioning that Xenonauts was NEVER going to be ported over (technical reasons or something), like ever. It's even a miracle it's in beta. Check the history on it in their Steam forum. We're lucky to even be graced by this port of an awesome gem.

Quoting: Mountain ManXenonauts is still in beta and not actually available for Linux yet, so be careful.UHHHHHH.... you know a reputable porter just posted here right? It's like the first post if you missed it. Even if you complained that you were screwed on 1 single game, would you really bitch about it over a CHARITY event while still getting others? Not trying to be rude, but I find these words pretty distasteful over an event like this.

Hyperspace Pinball Released For Linux, It's Quite Cool

Won't lie, forgot pinball existed until I saw this pop up in the Steam releases. Searched "Pinball" and barely found anything, even for Windows (no I didn't count the 7 ones that were extremely negative reviewed). So it doesn't appear to be just a Linux issue, but a Steam issue as well. Hope this pans out pretty well, considering no one makes them any more. Again, a decent one anyway.

79% and lower deserves damnation too. I mean, what game in my library didn't meet Metacritic standards? /s

Quoting: BeamboomA metascore of 55% after 26 reviews on PC, 57% after 35 reviews on the PS4. That's not "mixed", that's "bad". In the sake of public information I felt the urge to share that info. :)Metacritic? Seriously?

Well, they did say it's an unannounced title. Considering the SteamOS game announcements, it can't be Total War: Atilla, Company of Heroes 2, Evolve (well, it was pseudo-announced by being hidden), or Witcher 3.
My guess is on Alien: Isolation as well since it popped up on SteamDB not too long ago. Though I'm sure it will be good regardless of what it is.
Though, as usual, I hope to see some Japanese developed games someday. AFAIK, we have 0 AAA quality ones. Would be nice to see Final Fantasy 7 Remake or Street Fighter IV / V. Also, with the Tales of Symphonia remaster (well, sort of remaster) coming to Windows, I would love to revisit that classic JRPG to see what they improved on.

Thanks. Though, as you said, older games can still potentially be swept under the rug. Oh well, I guess.

Okay, now I'm starting to get a bit annoyed with Steam's releases. The only way I can even notice this release was through GOL (thanks), but honestly there should be a feature in Steam to see all new releases, not just ones Steam thinks is "popular"... The only way I know how to notice these things is through upcoming releases, but how the hell was I suppose to notice this popping out of the blue? Makes me question what else did I miss, and that's not cool.
An Awesome Developer Response To A Comment On The Linux Version Being A Waste Of Time

Did a developer really just stand up on the behalf of "a better future"? Despite any technical bickering the Linux community can have (technical discussions are healthy, despite all the outside media sneering), those words describe what Linux really means to most of us, even if we got tired of chanting them.
His good faith and long-term view, earns mine. Respected. Will be buying that game after all.
