Pretty sure this is in my Steam library. I haven't tested whether it will run or not, but IIRC there is a playable beta branch for it.

Quoting: NyapI personally think that this news is good ~ I came to linux for privacy. By attracting attention, and making more people use linux, we are making it more vulnerable from government wishes to implement backdoors. So sick of nutjobs like yourself giving Linux communities the pronounced title "Loonix".

Quoting: XodetaetlThe devs did fix the only bug the game had with Wine though, so it's perfectly playable on Linux.Such an obvious trap. They're just going to take your money and shit on our platform. Are you a masochist or just have no spine? It's time to drop the false empathy for using WINE. It's a double-edged sword and not worth losing the progress we have made with 1750+ native games.

And fixed in patch 1: "Fixed text rendering when playing in DX9 mode."

It's not a conspiracy to call Microsoft a giant wanker in this debacle, which happened immediately after Ori's release. Not news. Just feels like rubbing salt in the wound at this point.
Looks like Republique is no longer getting a Linux port

You have to thoroughly study their culture and perhaps live there to understand the mentality. I like a lot of things that come out of Japan, but I'm not going to defend this as untrue.
------
Unfortunate for the developers and unfortunate for us. No game, no money. Hope one day they will stop using shit middleware from Japan and other proprietary restrictive methods. Capcom seems to get this at least.

Quoting: kit89I think the 'Japanese Games Industry has disdain for Linux' is one massive generalisation that doesn't have any facts to back it up.Japan in general likes to stick to old things/tech/methods and that means software that was first introduced to them has them spoiled. We see this in many bad programming practices and overprotective nonsense when it comes to propietary technologies they cling to. Ownership had made them into obsessed old fogies. That is "most" of Japan, sadly.

Glad to see they ported something, but I am awaiting an answer from the developer about the other titles in the MSF series.
If any fan of the series is here, I would like their take on this title and if a newcomer should pick it up.
