I've been wanting to play Abzu since I first saw it, but not without SteamPlay support. Next time it goes on sale I'm gonna swim with the fishes --- wait, uh, without the concrete shoes, that is.
Once JC 3 is patched so it can be saved, I'll install it on my Linux box and keep playing it. I stopped mid-campaign because I just hated switching over to my Win7 box.
I've gotta say, Proton/SteamPlay has earned Valve my loyalty as a game store.

As a rule, I avoid games advertising themselves as "souls-like."
Boss battles that I can only win by first figuring out the boss's attack-pattern quickly bore me, and Dark Souls struck me as a game built almost exclusively out of this kind of boss battle.
The whole try & die, repeat ad nauseam mechanic simply tires me out. Its monotony and tedium far exceed any sense of accomplishment I get from beating the boss. I'm not saying it's bad or that those who enjoy this mechanic are somehow in the wrong, it just isn't what I want from my video games.
All that said, the term is "souls-like" and not "souls-clone," so I really should try the Hellpoint demo and see for myself.

Congratulations to Godot to be sure! I'm glad that they, and other Community projects, are able to benefit from EPIC's campaign to smooth things over with the gaming world in general, and the open-source community in particular.
A quarter million dollar donation is bound to be appreciated by any open-source project, to be sure.

I don't only want the game, I want the movie, the graphic novels, interpretive dance, and breakfast cereal (milk turns --- you guessed it --- red, of course)!

Quoting: Liam... violent machines powered by BloodAbout time too! I'm a horror fan going way back and I've never heard of anyone doing this, and it seems like such a natural too!

Congratulations to the Mint crew! Although I've not used Mint in years and years, it was the go-to distro I'd hop to in my early Linux years, when Ubuntu befuddled my new-Linux-user mind. Skol!

Very exciting news. I really want this game to leave Early Access so I can buy it (or go on sale for a low, low unfinished-game price). Speaking of unfinished games, I wonder what ever happened to Valheim?
Ooooo---what if we could have lava-mobiles? Like snow-mobiles, but for lava? Anybody? Vroom? No? Just me? Ah, okay.

I watched the video and tried to figure out what the game was when it wasn't going backward in time. It looks like an ARPG with a time-stop, time-rewind mechanic. Does that seem right? Or is it something else entirely?

I've been discussing my decision to move to an AMD CPU over on the GoL forum, so this is well timed. Kinda feels good to think I'm part of a greater movement to AMD :) . I have to mention, too, how exciting it was to see Ubuntu specifically mentioned as being supported by AMD CPUs/mobos in several of the descriptions. Never ever saw that in all my years with Intel ... it felt cool.

Quoting: Liam DaweI really hesitate to say. One level took me 30 minutes alone to complete it. For an average puzzle gamer though, perhaps 3-4 hours? Thanks! (And your hesitancy is exactly proportional to your honesty, and why we trust you!) :)
