I think this, this is the Itch client I've been waiting for all these years!
First off, the default font is like an newly-tattooed, overweight girl in a beauty pageant: large, lovely, and legible. I still can't customize the font size, but pff, it can be read, and that's what writing's all about.
Additionally, I can point it to where I keep my itch.io games (on a data drive) and completely remove it from my ~/.config.
Lastly, the dark interface remains dark on all pages. It used to be dark on the home page, but turn eye wrenchingly bright white on the "Explore" pages. Is this simply because the itch client is using my GTK theme? (Materia Dar [External Link]k ftw!) If not, although I adore this deep dark delectable look, I hope they'll FUCKIN' AY it's about time!!
Hell, now I might actually start playing the games I have from itch.io. XD

Fallout 3 GotY (on Steam Play, of course). I may be playing this for months, I expect; though, I played the crap out of it on the X360 a decade ago and keep feeling I might want to play something that's new (to me).
The RPG 'INSOMNIA: The Ark' will not be having a same-day Linux release, to be worked on after

I've been eagerly awaiting this game for four years, I can wait a little longer. I'm not happy about it. I daresay I'm a little pissed off by the news, frankly, but I can wait a little longer.

I was unaware of the browser version of War Brokers. Seems like a smart way for a crew to demo their game. I'll have to give it a try. It puts me in mind of a Battlefield game, only better, because it's on Linux. :D
Combat is about to get a lot more interesting in Hand of Fate 2

"Action RPG" Sounds great! "Rogue-like" Uhhh ... "Card Game" Ah, yes. That's why I gave this a pass. But looking at it again, maybe I was a bit too hasty. (Board games and card games leave me a bit flat in real life, let alone on a computer). Ok, I'll wishlist HoF (or HoF2. Which do ya'll think is better?) and pick it up when it goes on sale.

Ho. Lee. Fuck.
I've been on vacation for a week where the wireless was so shite I just gave up trying. This morning I read about Steam Play and Proton, so I'm just now arriving to the dumbstruck party.
This is the bridge we've been needing to get past the "small market share vs. more AAA titles" issue. This will let the Windows escapees leave at last. This will let me buy and play many titles (Nier: Automata, por exemplo) without feeling guilty about it counting as a Windows sale.
This is the biggest news to hit Linux gaming since Valve announced SteamOS.
I feel like I'm gonna cry.
They are going to get so much money from me in the coming year.

It's this sort of announcemen---one that comes out of the blue for a diamond of a game---that reminds me just how much I love GoL, and why I support Liam on Patreon. I only wish I could afford to give him more.

Reading Lovecraft was where I first became aware of the word 'Gibbous'(also 'beetling' which I mention here only because I like to say it), so I imagine that the devs of this parody are intimate with his work. Straight, so called, 'Lovecraftian' games almost universally fail to convey the deeply unsettling 'otherness' of Lovecraft's world, but I could see a parody set in a Lovecraftian setting being wildly enjoyable, especially to the fan of good 'ol H.P..
Gonna have to keep an (unseen and blind, soul-withering) eye on this one.

Looks pretty, less retro-pixel-graphics-y and more a conscious, stylistic choice meant to evoke a sense of things being roughly hewn than pew-pew pixelated.
Free on itch.io? Well, the price is right. And with a Linuxian at the forge, I'd be surprised if we didn't see a Linux build. Definitely one to watch.
