Thanks for keeping us updated about 'sc-controller' (SCC) Liam. Indeed, it's thanks to your updates that I started using SCC in the first place. :)
I've been using SCC exclusively for over half a year now, and I love it. In fact I just finished up making an Insurgency config yesterday. :) What I love most about it is the independence it offers from Steam. I use it to surf the web, adjust volume and change tracks in my media player, and play all of my Steam games, non-Steam games, and Wine-Steam games.
And, please, consider supporting Kozek (SCC's Daddy) on Patreon in addition to Liam (you do support Liam, right?), he's friendly, responsive, and apparently never sleeps for all the work he's done and continues to do on SCC.

WWI FPS 'Tannenberg' to get a good performance bump

Quoting: pete910I think it's great tbh, trouble is it's not very forgiving, Going rambo rarely pays off. Most players don't like that, they prefer COD/BF type where you are a bullet sponge with 3d spotting, super power classes ect.Well said, Pete, and you make a good point. One thing I really appreciate about unforgiving, bullets-can-kill-you FPS games such as Tannenberg is they require a more tactical, think-before-you-move style of play. I'm not knocking being a bunny-hopping Übermensch in COD or BF or their ilk---they're great fun for what they are. It's just nice to have alternatives.

The look of this game is nice, but I'm a bit adrift on what is meant by the term "spline" scroller. The Benevolent and Most Merciful OED (praise it's holy name) has this to say about the word "spline:"
noun
1 A rectangular key fitting into grooves in the hub and shaft of a wheel, especially one formed integrally with the shaft which allows movement of the wheel on the shaft.
1.1 A corresponding groove in a hub along which the key may slide.
2 A slat of wood, metal, etc.
2.1 A flexible wood or rubber strip used especially in drawing large curves.
3 Mathematics
A continuous curve constructed so as to pass through a given set of points and have a certain number of continuous derivatives.
verb
[with object]
1 Secure (a part) by means of a spline.
‘the clutch units are splined on to the mainshaft’
1.1 (usually as adjective splined) Fit with a spline.
'splined freewheels’
And please note, I'm not challenging the use of the word "spline" here. I'm just not sure how it's being applied to this game.
I expect this question will keep me up nights.

Yay! I'll no longer have to squint to use Steam's desktop client on my 1080p TV---as soon as I figure out how/where to set the "environment variable'GDK_SCALE=2'" for the Steam client. :P
No, really. Someone please help me.

I'll be interested to see where this goes. I certainly like hearing what they're saying about Win10 and Linux.
It's been awhile, but I was underwhelmed when I tried Lutris over a year ago (it felt very undercooked) and the very promising Gnome Games couldn't find games that weren't in the ~/Games folder, thoug, I've heard this has since changed in the newer Gnome versions, I'm using Xfce nowadays, so I'll just have to take the extra four seconds it takes me to "manually" launch my games, thank you very much.

I don't mind longer waiting periods for Linux releases as long as the communication lines are kept open and honest. It wasn't the extra year of waiting that enraged me about D:OS's release, it was the way new release dates were repeatedly promised then pushed back, raising then crushing hopes each time.
I cringe imagining how the children will immediately begin throwing tantrums at the bugs inevitable with a post-alpha/beta release, though. *Shudder*
