Desert Child, a Hoverbike racing RPG that sounds awesome is on Kickstarter, Linux support confirmed

Normally I don't give racing games too much attention, but I have to say that somewhere between the visual style and the Desert Child's other elements, this looks like a fun game!

One peccadillo though. On Kickstarter, Linux support can be planned, it can be intended, but it can only ever be confirmed with the final release on Linux. ;)

What an excellent turn of phrase for generally improving a game's basics! It really jumped out at me, and I knew exactly what you were talking about! Well done!

Quoting: FeistLooks really nice! This is a great time for Lovecraft, with this game on the way and the upcoming "Call of Cthulhu: The Official Videogame" in early 2018, as well as the promising looking "Moons of Madness".
And don't forget the charmingly bizarre, At the Mountains of Madnessinspired [Eldritch](http://store.steampowered.com/app/252630/Eldritch/) :D

I murdered everyone possible while playing 'In Celebration of Violence'

I'm glad to see you covering this. It's been in my wishlist forever, and I'm just awaiting its exit from Early Access. If the devs do decide to speed things up, I hope it's only as an optional setting---I like the idea of a more relaxed speed in a game like this. (I mention this last point just in case the devs peek in to read what's being said: OI! DEVS! MAKE SURE THE CURRENT SPEED IS AVAILABLE PLEASE.)

RUINER for Linux is now officially on hold (UPDATED)

Quoting: Sir_DiealotI do understand that you wish you could play this game right away, but you seem to be overly frustrated by what is likely just a delay. You didn't pre-order or anything, did you? So what did you lose? You can't play the game right at launch, but you will likely be able to play a less buggy version of it a bit later. What's the big deal?
I can't speak for Liam, but my frustration level is borne of all the times I've seen Linux games promised "later" or "after getting the bugs worked out of Windows/other OSs" but never released. Of course there are cases where Linux games come out as promised, but their number seems depressingly small.

When devs are forthright from their first announcement as to what, specifically, their problem is, seeking to work with the community to fix issues for Linux, I feel the game is going to come out. But when devs hem and haw about a date, making vague and contradictory announcements about dates and progress, I write the game off as a long-shot at best.

Some thoughts on Vikings - Wolves of Midgard

Well reviewed, Liam. I think I'll wait for more patching to polish some of the rough edges you mentioned before buying it at its current price. Nevertheless, it's nice to see another Linux entry into the 3D hack-n-slash genre.

Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark, a turn-based tactical RPG will support Linux, has a demo and it's on Kickstarter

Agh! The ridiculous fact that everything with legs is continuously "walking in place" is simply feels too soul-gratingly annoying and half-assed for me to buy this game, whatever other virtues it may have. Here's hoping they hit the 50K mark, then.
