"Proteus and Grow Home?" What a curious combination! I'm wondering how long I'll play until I'm sobbing in frustration because I'm thoroughly lost in all that misty, atmospheric splendor, babbling about Lewis and Clark and Magellan and the capriciousness of truant cartographers.
TINY METAL, a "spiritual successor" to Advance Wars has plans for a Linux version

When Advanced Wars was a thing, I was off planet, away on a secret mission about which I can say no more because, well, it was a secret mission.
The upshot is that I know absolutely nothing about Advanced Wars and only what I can surmise from the video about Tiny Metal. I'm guessing it's an RTS of some sort?

Morphite, a stylized FPS sci fi adventure game will have Linux support

Joking aside, it would be nice to have something like this (or this) available on Linux. As Liam pointed out, FPSs are few and far between on Linux.

I enjoy 7D2D, well enough, but I've always resented its stupendously flimsy building materials and its hackneyed "specialty" zombies (so obviously custom-built to get around player defenses). To be fair, my problem is that I want 7D2D to be a slightly different game. Radline Quarantine might just be that game.
Immediately apparent in the video is a lack of the hunger/thirst/etc. bars of survival games, so that's a hooray. Reading some of the reviews, it's apparent that there are only two types of zombies: bigguns and littleuns. Another hooray there. All that remains to be seen is whether the durability of the building materials has any sort of basis in reality.
I'll be interested to see what others have to say about this game. Heck, I might not even wait, just spend the $10 to find out.

It's disappointing to hear about the graphical problems with the game. Hopefully those will be ironed out over time. The "I-didn't-catch-anything" whingers don't sound like they've done much fishing irl, lol. It is, after all, listed as a simulation, and catching nothing (what my father called "being skunked" ) after hours of trying is part of what makes fishing fishing.
I see it has full controller support. I wonder how integral the controller is to the experience. Imagine if a game like this were made with the Steam Controller in mind: the gyro could be used to "cast" with the controller, the RPad (or Lpad, for southpaws) could be the reel, the trigger could simulate the way one holds then releases the line during a cast. Finally, the rumble could be used for "nibbles" and "bites" and the struggle of the fish on the line as one reels it in. Dare I say it: the mind reels at the possibilities.

Intriguing. I would have thought tags like "Open World" and "Sandbox" would be listed on its Steam page, but it only says "Indie Strategy Action Simulation." A combination that would normally signal something I wouldn't find interesting, yet watching the video I'm already wondering if I can reproduce Saints Row's city of Stillwater.
Whatever, it's made in Linux (!!) and that alone warrants putting it on my wishlist!

I remember when this was first coming out. I was sooo disappointed that it wasn't coming to Linux---but here it is!! (Ha HAA! Take that, little stupid squalid cynic living in the back of my mind!)
Gonna put it on my wish/follow lists right now. :)
