Stare Decisis. I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic that it'll come to Linux at some point because, unless I'm mistaken, every Saint's Row title (less the first) has been made available for Linux.

Ooooooo. Splat. A nice entry into the genre. And an original one, so points for that. On the watchlist it goes!!!
ADDENDUM: $1.19? Forget the watchlist, it's in the library. Good find Liam!

Oh! It's Paragon? That's news to me, and welcome news at that!
Paragon was one of the first games I put on my wishlist/follow list when I joined Steam, and I was disappointed by it's apparent demise.
Jumpdrive eh? Noted. I'm gonna put it on the wishlist now.
Thanks Liam! :D

A friend and I tried it out during a free weekend on Steam. At first we enjoyed it, but then we began to wonder . . . how is this Interstellar?
Of course that was over a year ago, so maybe it's different now. But at the time, there was no there there, y'know?
Still, I wish only well and the best of luck on their efforts.

Ugh, so, if true, not only would Deep Silver not make the new editions available for Linux, but they would snatch away my beloved Dead Island? I love DI! Ooooooo, I bet Microsoft bought off Deep Silver, the rat finks!
P.S. Liam, any chance of talking you into changing the headline to According to Some Schmuck at Deep Silver . . . ? ;)

Some thoughts on Shadwen, Frozenbyte's new stealth game available for Linux

I was looking forward to this game, but now I'm hesitant to buy it. All the reviews I've seen so far give me the impression that Lily is being escorted without reason. Is this true? That, once saved, Lily dodders along complicating and interfering Shadwen's actions? It is as if Shadwn, instead of Lily, finds a ball-and-chain which she then clasps about her ankle before undertaking her mission.
I don't need great perfect premises or well-plotted stories for my games. The flimsiest pretense will do. In the above example it would suffice to be told that Shadwen always performs assassinations with a ball-and-chain for religious reasons, or to win a bet, or --- anything that even resembles an explanation.
So why are we told Shadwen --- a regicidal assassin --- burdening herself with Lily at all, let alone care if Lily is affected by seeing what Shadwen does?
The game looks great, but if the action is pointless, I'll never be able to get into it. Please, tell me it's not pointless.

It's certainly shiny and pretty; though, the apparent run-backwards-shooting aspect of combat on display in the video leaves me a bit cold. Nevertheless, I'm gonna keep an eye on this title.
Thanks for the heads up!

Yayyyyy!! I own both on Steam, but I wasn't paying attention when I bought them bundled on sale and didn't realize Riptide wasn't on Linux yet. Whoopsie. Soon I can play both.
I love these games in addition to Dying Light. Dying Light's parkour mechanic is awesome, but its story keeps attempting to foist hackneyed emotional and moral melodrama upon that awesome parkour mechanic. Dead Island and Riptide know what they're about, and even the would-be heavy moments feel like they come with a wink and a nod.
Looking forward to the pulp and sinew splatter these titles will splash upon us soon.

I may have to buy this game for the music alone because I suck at games like this.
Maybe they'll release the soundtrack separately ... oooooo, yeah. Playing in the background while fighting off the cops in Payday 2. Mmmmmmmm, bullets.
