Picked up that Humble Monthly! Even if you only do it for one month it is worth it for the two games.

What are you playing this weekend?

Mostly Doom 2016 on wine. I love it and it runs so smooth. Music is fantastic.

What have you been playing and what do you think?

Native there is nothing to play that I haven't played a million times. I keep checking here every day in hopes that something decent will be released on linux. I haven't found a really good game to play since Civ 6 but it seems that everything getting ported these days are shovelware or strategy games.
On wine it seems that you have to sacrifice a new born kitten to get anything to work even with the walkthroughs. Unless you like Witcher 3 or games that came out 6 years ago there is nothing that really works on wine anymore. After Steam switched to 2.12 to be able to run, everything is broken. I have a Steam account that only has games that run in wine but after 2.12 out of 120 only 5 of them work. Overwatch running in wine is a joke. The only game that I really care for playing in wine is Dark Souls 3 and now with the new wine updates even though it wasn't playable before is even less playable. I am loyal to Linux and i refuse to go back to windows but i am tired of the only updates to wine being them trying to get the sky in Witcher 3 to look right.
That being said the games i have been playing native are civ 6 and salt & sanctuary and the wine games i have been playing are Dark Souls 2 and Fallout New Vegas (but it is like pulling teeth to get them to work)

What have you been playing on Linux lately and what do you think?

For AAA games
Civ 6 - I have spent many hours on this game and i like it i just think i liked 5 better.

Xcom 2: Very fun can't wait for the dlc

Total Warhammer: Fun game but very time consuming. I am having a hard time keeping up with all the dlc but what i have is really fun

Shadow of Mordor: About 25% done with the game but am having a blast

Indie games
Darkest Dungeon: Started this back up when the dlc came out

Salt & Sanctuary: Keep coming back to this one. I really enjoy the souls games and this is the closest we got unless anyone can tell me different i will keep playing this over and over again

FTL: Another one that i keep coming back to. Really wish that i could find something similar to this too

Stardew Valley: I love this game so much

Sunless Sea: If you can get past all the reading this is a pretty fun game and there is a sequel coming out soon

Torchlight 2: Keep making new characters but never finishing a game mostly because i can never find anyone to play with
I also play ballistic overkill some too

Wine Staging 2.12 released with Direct3D 10/11 improvements and better Mesa support

I normally test things like this myself, but it doesn't seem that 2.12 is live yet. Can someone please test Dark Souls 3 and let me know if it has gotten any better. I am dying to play that game but it seems with 2.10 staging hasn't addressed the texture problem. I know Witcher 3 is more important to more people but I would really like to play DaS III. The first one works like a charm and 2 works with a little bit of work. I would really like to finish this trilogy.

Feral Interactive have released a new teaser for a Linux & Mac port to come

To be perfectly honest I would hope that it is a Souls game. I really wish we had a souls game besides Salt & Sanctuary. Don't get me wrong I love that game it's just I wished we had more options.

You can grab Alien Isolation the full collection from Humble Store super cheap right now
