Some thoughts on Hard West

I really liked Hard West but you are right about how unstable it is. I've lost count how many times it CTD'd or gone into hardcore visual artifacts mode, and that's not even counting the disappearing UI at high resolutions bug that, to the best of my knowledge, was never fixed. Still, I'd love a sequel, one that's a heck of a lot more stable.

I don't particularly care about The Walking Dead, but I sure would love to play Tales From the Borderlands, and if this is a step toward that then awesome.

Oh good another retro sidescroller, it's not like there is a veritable deluge of these coming out every week. At least this one has some really nice looking pixel art and animations.

We all know about Valve Time. It takes Valve many many years to get anything done, and they can afford to because they have a cash cow that brings in never ending money. SteamOS and Steam Machines were never going to be an overnight success simply because the drivers and tools situation was in such shoddy shape on Linux when Valve got the ball rolling. While Steam Machines are not exaclty setting any sales records right now, the driver and tools situation on Linux is in a much better state than it was a few years ago and we're getting games we couldn't have begun to dream about back then. Baby steps.
