Looks Like Road Redemption Is Finally On Its Way To Linux

So long as it comes to Linux by the time it fully releases I'll be a very happy camper, as I have no intention of buying it while it's in early access (it still is).

Quoting: GuestBuilding an empire takes a lot of time but it's satisfaying, and the Extended Mods make the X series even better.
Noob question: are those Extended Mods already part of the game as released on GOG, or do I need to add something? If they are separate, do they work on Linux? When playing for the first time, should I play without the mods first to get the original experience, or would you recommend playing with the mods right from the start?
I don't think they are included in vanilla Reunion (it's been a long time since I played that game) but they're easy to install. With that said, a lot of the stuff in the X-Tended Mod for Reunion found its way into vanilla Terran Conflict and Albion Prelude (both those games have their own X-Tended Mods too).

Really great games with a STEEP learning curve (well worth it in my opinion, though). Feel free to play through all 3, but Albion Prelude is the only one you really need as they're all essentially the exact same game, Albion Prelude just improves upon its predecessor (Terran Conflict), which improved upon its predecessor (Reunion). Each game has its own story but the stories are throwaway and the only reason to play through them is for some cool ships and stations that unlock by completing the story. The games are giant sandboxes and you can play them as you please. You can be essentially whoever you want, pirate, merchant, defender, fleet captain, whatever you choose.

I still play Albion Prelude all the time, partially because it's so good and partially because X: Rebirth was such a bitter disappointment. I must have over 1000 hours combined between Reunion, Terran Conflict, and Albion Prelude.

Steam Machines, Steam Link & Steam Controller Officially Released & SteamOS Sale

I scooped up Victor Vran during the sale. Pretty dang fun so far, more action game than your standard Diablo-esque loot em up. I also appreciate how much of a ****sucker the narrator is.

This has been a thoroughly underwhelming launch so far. :(

On the bright side, I can pick up Victor Vran for $13. :)

Seriously, I'm starved for a racing game.
Did you pick up DiRT: Showdown when it was 85% off? I've done every trick, lap and takeout in that game and NO ONE dares challenge me (I'm looking at you LiamD, ignoring all my challenges :-) )
No thanks, I meant a real racing game. :P On a serious note, I'm not into that gymkhana stuff. Were it practically any other game in the DiRT series that came to Linux, I would already won it.

This launch is looking pretty disappointing so far. I wasn't expecting an explosion of games, but I was hoping for at least 1 MAJOR title to release for Linux to coincide with the Steam Machines launch, and, no offense to Magicka 2 and Grow Home, but those don't exactly fit the bill.

No worries, Liam, it's a confusing country... in many ways, even for someone who has spent the majority of their life here. :D

Quoting: liamdaweIt's like 7:26am where Valve is, patience.
You're off by 3 hours, Valve is located on the west coast. It's 7:35 AM where I am (Hartford, Connecticut on the east coast) and 4:35 AM where Valve is (Bellevue, Washington on the west coast).

Games used to always release on Steam at 10 AM Valve time, though that's changed recently and I think developers/publishers can now release games at a time of their choosing. Still, I'd expect the bulk of the action to happen 5 1/2 hours from now.
