This sounds like a publicity stunt to create a buying frenzy. Only time will tell if said publicity stunt will be successful. I, for one, ain't biting.

I couldn't watch the first video because that guy was ridiculously obnoxious and I couldn't stand more than 10 seconds of him. The second video was cool.

Gah! So many great looking point & click adventures I want to play (Kentucky Route Zero, The Detail, Knee Deep, The Journey Down) and they're all episodic and none of them have all episodes released yet. And so I wait; I wait until all episodes are out.

It certainly looks nice, the graphics are damn near AAA level. As for gameplay, I'm not sure what to think. I mean there's a lot of walking then you run for a bit and that's all there really is to it. It's only a short demo, so hopefully there will be a lot more to the game than that. Do I get to hunt for clues? Following the reflectors isn't exactly detective work. Can I sneak around if I turn my flashlight off? Is there a sanity mechanic like in Amnesia? What is there to do besides walking through a forest and running when danger approaches? Are there puzzles? Hopefully there are more runes and wall paintings to find and maybe some way to try to piece together their meaning. I mean, walking alone through a forest at night is legitimately tense on its own since you never know what manner of nocturnal wildlife you may happen upon, I speak from experience here. I just hope there will be a lot more to the game than what was in the demo. At the same time, I wasn't turned off by the demo either. I'm by no means sold on the game, but I am curious to find out more.

Is this a jump scare game? I hope it's not a jump scare game. I hope it's more an atmospheric and mind**** type horror game. I might as well check the demo out, thanks for the heads up.

Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear Expansion Announced

Question to those that have played the Enhanced Edition IE games from Beamdog: As much as I enjoyed the IE games back in the day, I have no desire to replay any of the games I have already played, which is to say, all of them. Hence, I have not played any of Beamdog's EEs, nor do I plan to. This is the first project from Beamdog that I have any interest in because it's a new adventure, which I would be inclined to play. What I want to know from those that have played the IE EEs is what do they think of the content the Beamdog themselves have added to the EEs. Do these folks seem to have writing and level design skill? Was any of the new content interesting? Compelling? Fun?

Thoughts On The Final Steam Controller
10 Jul 2015 at 12:49 pm UTC

I am pretty excited about this controller, it may wind up replacing my XBOX 360 controller. Of course, I want to hold it and try it out first. Regardless of how good the trackpads are a controller, any controller, will always run into the issue of having a limited amount of buttons to work with; you can't put more than at most 14 or 15 buttons on a controller and still make all of them comfortable to use, so a controller can never fully replace m&kb. Still, having a controller that expands the repertoire of games I can comfortably and accurately play while sitting in a recliner away from my desk is a plus.
