Quoting: KeizgonI don't know, but this is the last big gaming event before the release of Steam Machines. So if there is anything important to announce about Steam Machines this is the chance.Quoting: sarmadIf it's going to SteamOS it should be announced during E3. So we should know for sure in a matter of days. Are they even attending E3?

The Steam Hardware Survey For May Is Here, It’s Not All Doom & Gloom

Why do so many people think that the survey appears more on Windows than Linux? If it's appearing more on Windows than Linux with you that just means you are using Steam under Windows more than you do under Linux. I have had the surevy twice on Linux and none on Windows.

Quoting: subI hope rumours are not true that Newell just came up with Linux/SteamOS/SteamMachines to put pressure on Microsoft.Who said Valve only fears Windows Store? Windows is only one of the reasons behind SteamOS. The other reason is the competition coming from EA's Origin, GOG, etc.
As Win10 seems like it will get good reception and "lacks" all the stuff Newell was afraid of, some people argue Valve might abandon Linux sooner or later. After all, SteamMachines missed the fantastic "Win8" time window to take off - and that sounds reasonable to me. :/

Finally!!! I can now just go ahead and buy the game instead of spending an hour searching google on whether my hardware can support such a game. Well done, Valve.

Quoting: liamdaweYup, I did. But, to be honest, I am running it on Fedora so it could be Fedora-only issues. Let's see if this update fixes those issues.Quoting: sarmadHere is to hoping it's actually fixed and playable now. I bought this damn game more than a year ago when it was still in Early Access stage and for most of that year the game wasn't even playable on Linux. Didn't work at all at start, then they fixed it and it became playable, then shortly after regression came and it was unplayable, until now. Hopefully this time it's fixed for real.I hope you reported all the issues you had.

Contrary to what many people think, this actually benefits Linux! How? Having the SteamOS logo similar to Steam's logo gives the impression that SteamOS is the way to go if you want to best Steam experience. In other words, Valve is using their own successful brand to promote SteamOS which will, hopefully, result in more sales of Steam Machines. Selling more Steam Machines is far more important than getting people to know the Linux logo.

Who cares about Early Access. My experience with Early Access was quite terrible: you pay to be a game tester!!!

I bought this game full price more than a year ago if I remember correctly. And now, one year after, the game is still very buggy on Linux and you'll be lucky if you can finish a game session without it hanging in the middle of the match.
