I don't know, but this is the last big gaming event before the release of Steam Machines. So if there is anything important to announce about Steam Machines this is the chance.

Why do so many people think that the survey appears more on Windows than Linux? If it's appearing more on Windows than Linux with you that just means you are using Steam under Windows more than you do under Linux. I have had the surevy twice on Linux and none on Windows.

As Win10 seems like it will get good reception and "lacks" all the stuff Newell was afraid of, some people argue Valve might abandon Linux sooner or later. After all, SteamMachines missed the fantastic "Win8" time window to take off - and that sounds reasonable to me. :/

Who said Valve only fears Windows Store? Windows is only one of the reasons behind SteamOS. The other reason is the competition coming from EA's Origin, GOG, etc.

Yup, I did. But, to be honest, I am running it on Fedora so it could be Fedora-only issues. Let's see if this update fixes those issues.

Contrary to what many people think, this actually benefits Linux! How? Having the SteamOS logo similar to Steam's logo gives the impression that SteamOS is the way to go if you want to best Steam experience. In other words, Valve is using their own successful brand to promote SteamOS which will, hopefully, result in more sales of Steam Machines. Selling more Steam Machines is far more important than getting people to know the Linux logo.

I bought this game full price more than a year ago if I remember correctly. And now, one year after, the game is still very buggy on Linux and you'll be lucky if you can finish a game session without it hanging in the middle of the match.
