ZOTAC Have A Trailer To Show Off Their NEN Steam Machine

The hardware is great, but price not so. As it was already mentioned it would make sense at around 600$ or 700$ for this particular hardware.

For me the point of steam machine is not in upgradabilty but rather in small size and low price compared to custom build pc. I mean i should be able to just replace the whole thing after it becomes outdated. Just like a gpu in custom pc but here whole machine.

A Good & Honest Video About The Alienware Steam Machine

I am impressed how many games we have received since the steam machines were first announced, but it still worries me a bit because the number of Linux Steam users is still around or below 1%. Meanwhile if you look at steam hardware survey mac has gained the most growth for previous month 0.31%, but Linux just a small bit 0.04%.

I hope that the steam machines will change this somehow.

I'm tired reading these postpones, they should not deserve such public attention, and rather make news when they will actually release the game and not their promises. There are other better game studios who deserve more attention than them.

Steam Controller Motion Controls Look Very Slick

How do you think then they will persuade people to go on SteamOS? I wouldn't be even surprised, if SteamOS/Linux share still remains at around 1% even after Steam machines release. There must be something appealing for new users and Windows is having the best reason for most PC gamers to stay on it.

Valve needs something, a reason or something like a "killer game".
