Quoting: liamdaweI like living on the edge. Yeah, it occasionally breaks, but that's part of the fun! I'll give a few other things a run. Now I really wish I could get gigabit internet...Quoting: GuestNothing too exciting that I can see. One thing I don't like is that you don't have the option to go back to the previous beta. If something gets majorly broken you are just stuck with the newest beta or 3.75.3Well it's a beta version, if something breaks they need to know about it. If you're having issues, have you made bug reports for them?
If you don't want breakage, stick with the stable channel?

So, Tilt Brush works in the Vive Pro on Linux! Was looking at some of the AMAZING artwork some people have done with that. Absolutely astounding.
Looking forward to testing out some other things. I can try to give SkyrimVR a run and can report back.

It was actually simpler than that. On Arch Linux I just removed it, re-installed it and launched it before the workshop stuff downloaded.
Now it's working again, even with the beta (that I think maybe supports the Vive Pro better.) Now to see if the same thing fixes it in Debian.

Quoting: lucifertdarkHa, something simple...Quoting: slaapliedjeI need to figure out why SteamVR stopped working on both my Linux installs (Debian Sid and Arch Linux). It was working pretty well at one point. It's probably something really simple like broken firmware or drivers.

Quoting: lucifertdarkWould be nicer if they'd just add VR to the Linux version. :PQuoting: axredneckThat thread over there has grown so fast most people posting seem to have missed the important post I mentioned just above, Native2Proton created by Holston5.Quoting: spacemonkeyIs it possible to install the Windows version of a game that has a native Linux version? Since the VR should work better I would like to try Everspace. But only the Windows version of Everspace supports VR (the Linux version does not). So, is there a way to install the Windows version and use Steam Play?https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/5638 [External Link]
Europa Universalis IV: Dharma is now available, some thoughts

Quoting: DMGI don't know... I played vanilla Europa Universalis IV and I was bored with it. So much time have to spend on waiting something. And so little strategy in war itself. I better prefer something like Total War: Warhammer. Spend so much time in that game. Will wait for second part.I've heard people describe these games more as RPG/Life simulators than war games. Crusader Kings II definitely is more about keeping your king alive and keeping your people happy.

Quoting: lucifertdarkFunny thing is, I think they removed denuvo from the actual game. I bet they just didn't update the demo... but why is it there in the first place?Quoting: MaathI still can't get a single game to work. I've tried the Doom demo, the Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 demo, and Space Lords. The first two just crash and Space Lords just displays a black screen. I'm not sure where one goes to get help on these things. The forum here is a good place to start, your pc details will help, OS version, graphics card, video drivers version, which version of Proton you're using (3.7-5 Beta works better for most).
ps I don't own Doom & I can't get the demo to work either, I get the gameoverlay.so can't be loaded Elf class error when I try to run it.
pps ignore my previous ps, that's not the problem, the problem with the Doom demo is Denuvo, why they stuck that in the demo is beyond me.
The rather good hack and slash Hammerwatch had a big update recently, great co-op game for Linux

Quoting: NeverthelessFinally! I got Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition working. I had backed the game on Kickstarter, because I really thought they'd provide a Linux version. Turned out to be naive.. :-DNice, my brother and I were playing the first one cooperatively and still haven't completed it...
It doesn't matter anymore! The game seems to run perfectly now!
