Well it's a beta version, if something breaks they need to know about it. If you're having issues, have you made bug reports for them?

If you don't want breakage, stick with the stable channel?

I like living on the edge. Yeah, it occasionally breaks, but that's part of the fun! I'll give a few other things a run. Now I really wish I could get gigabit internet...

So, Tilt Brush works in the Vive Pro on Linux! Was looking at some of the AMAZING artwork some people have done with that. Absolutely astounding.

Looking forward to testing out some other things. I can try to give SkyrimVR a run and can report back.

It's probably something really simple like broken firmware or drivers.

Ha, something simple...

It was actually simpler than that. On Arch Linux I just removed it, re-installed it and launched it before the workshop stuff downloaded.

Now it's working again, even with the beta (that I think maybe supports the Vive Pro better.) Now to see if the same thing fixes it in Debian.

I've heard people describe these games more as RPG/Life simulators than war games. Crusader Kings II definitely is more about keeping your king alive and keeping your people happy.

The forum here is a good place to start, your pc details will help, OS version, graphics card, video drivers version, which version of Proton you're using (3.7-5 Beta works better for most).

ps I don't own Doom & I can't get the demo to work either, I get the gameoverlay.so can't be loaded Elf class error when I try to run it.

pps ignore my previous ps, that's not the problem, the problem with the Doom demo is Denuvo, why they stuck that in the demo is beyond me.

Funny thing is, I think they removed denuvo from the actual game. I bet they just didn't update the demo... but why is it there in the first place?
