Quoting: minjI remember someone anticipating for giggles that NVIDIA will beat AMD in Vulkan which was born out of their own spec (Mantle). Props to you sir but I don't know whether to laugh or weep.
Didn't know it was a race.

Quoting: srlsboyThe AMD driver is only available for Windows.
Considering AMD is rebuilding their Linux driver infrastructure, I really don't expect them to have drivers just yet. As long as they give good deadline and distributions have given time to include them, it is not a big deal.

It is no brainer in my opinion. To break Nvidia current monopoly on shader market AMD had to do something like this. I really hope AMD improve their game on their drivers too and their movement towards AMDGPU and Vulkan open source driver results in better performance and improved goodwill from gamers.

Batman: Arkham Knight for Linux & SteamOS cancelled

Well, I was kinda hoped for Arkham series game on Linux, but ohh well....It's not like Arkham Knight was best representative of series. And with all huge issues with port for Windows this is not surprise at all.

Mad Max looks like it really is coming to SteamOS & Linux after all, another massive game for us

Quoting: HadBabitsEch, as someone who plays ps4 on the side another open world game makes me feel a bit bloated  Especially when it's a bunch of meaningless sprawl, I suppose I'm just more of a linear boy :B

Though I'll admit I'm also still sour after such an insulting radio silence. Game publishers need to get over themselves.
I suspect they just don't care much about SteamOS - or they are very careful and not want to poke gamer's nest regarding SteamOS which might come up as sour subject. Either way I agree but I don't think that was deliberate. They just don't know how to handle us yet.

Well, no one officially came out and canceled port, so I guess they just waited for actual release to hype it. Yes, companies are weird regarding their SteamOS ports, but as their PR budgets are limited, maybe they just don't bother yet at this point.

While game seems to be deemed as medicore, I will buy it, because desert and buggies. Moment by moment gameplay looks atmospheric, and that's good enough for me.

Tropico 5 - Complete Collection now available for SteamOS & Linux

Tropico 5 was first game in the series I played for quite long time. It was serviceable, and Linux port was nothing to complain about. If you can get behind quirky tongue in cheek humor regarding ups and downs of being dictator, it's enjoyable little experience.

Saints Row IV now available on SteamOS and Linux

Gaming running for third day now and is very good. No fps drops, 60 fps all over the place and no hang ups during gameplay. What's more, GPU usage scales down properly when alt-tabbing. Overall big thumbs up from here here.
