Paradox is clearly something I can support even clearly knowing that I have no time to play EUIV right now (in fact any long game is no go for me at this point). But yeah, they are very good supporters of Linux, and EUIV has been great favorite of my best friend (in fact it is more interesting to listen his recap of the games than to play myself). So I want to get it sooner or later.
Also loving that self-irony in title of DLC :)

Quoting: ElectricPrismI wish the Steam Machines said what kind of GeForce GPU was in those Alienwares. That might be speculation, but I hear somewhere those are GTX 860M. Those are equal to GTX 750.
Of course my current needs can only make use of the Steam Controller & Steam Link - I would be interested in buying a Steam Machine if I had the extra cash, but I couldn't imagine buying an i3 @ 450 knowing how sub par i3's are - but maybe in comparison to XBONE and PS4 it's equivilent if devs optimize right - hard to say.

The Steam Hardware Survey For May Is Here, It’s Not All Doom & Gloom

Linux users really should stop being afraid of Windows. Seriously, all I hear every time when Microsoft releases new Windows is how it will finally destroy Linux desktop. That's amazing PR pull if you ask me. Windows still costs 100USD/EUR at retail. Microsoft will offer similar discounts to illegal users, but for very short time and they are similar to Windows 8. DirectX 12 doesn't mean all games will magically run faster - you have to use low level functionality for that. DirectX12 being locked Windows 10 only will limit it's addoptation.
And so on and so forth.
Also what it got to do with blip in statistics I wonder. Yes, there are hopes and fears, but Linux users should be better than that.

Quoting: subI hope rumours are not true that Newell just came up with Linux/SteamOS/SteamMachines to put pressure on Microsoft.Microsoft hasn't given up walled garden approach. It's still there and Valve knows it very well. Fool me once - shame on you, Fool me twice - shame on me.
As Win10 seems like it will get good reception and "lacks" all the stuff Newell was afraid of, some people argue Valve might abandon Linux sooner or later. After all, SteamMachines missed the fantastic "Win8" time window to take off - and that sounds reasonable to me. :/

I think this is very good news. Having proper OpenGL support with such scaling is awesome idea for any engine to have.
Steam Replaces The Linux Tux Logo With SteamOS

I am all for it.
There comes the catch - if proper Steam Machine/SteamOS campaign follows and identifies that logo with it. As long as it happens - sure, it has to be done. Before we cry for Tux (which I love a lot), most people don't know what Tux is or how it's related with Steam Machines and SteamOS. We can't expect them to know. Valve has invested big money and time resources in this, and thankfully it seems they follow it with marketing and PR. Their brand for this is Steam Machines.
We have logos for Fedora, Debian, etc. We even don't mention word Linux sometimes when we speak about these distributions. As long it has strong marketing following this change - yeah, it's not big deal for me. Otherwise that would be change for change's sake and then it would be like...stupid to do that.

Well, knowing that SWKOTOR was ported to iOS last year (highly likely using OpenGL), I guess this is just continuation of this. Despite being more than 10 years old, those games look very solid imho.
