Quoting: ageresI'm trying to get Resident Evil 2 remake working, but it doesn't work due to stupid WMF, so I'm playing the Gamecube version of the original RE2 on Dolphin. This might help a bit..

I love these QOL improvements. Gaming on linux really becomes a thing.. When Windows 7 reaches EOL next year i will propably stop dual-booting. Also Wine will be at v5.0 and who knows how will DXVK mature.. Exciting times. Hopefully Feral will still port AAA games which are ofc a better option.
Steam Play set to get DXVK 0.72, Wine fixes for .NET and windowing issues

I wonder if Shadow of War will work, currently it does nothing when i click to play, beside installing runtimes. I suspect some Denuvo blocking, but other games with Denuvo are working so who knows..

Shadow of War would be nice, since it's not working with Proton. Time seems to me ideal, game is finally completed with microtransactions removed and Definitive Edition available.
Valve officially confirm a new version of 'Steam Play' which includes a modified version of Wine

Holy frikin'mecha-jesus,
Bye bye Wine, PoL or Lutris.. Bye bye super-duper-anniversary-ultimate-creators "free" Windows Update with telemetry clusterfuck and UWP junk. Bye bye NSA wankers.. I guess i don't need to renew my Crossover linux license for the next year. When i think about it, i actually have contributed to this to happen.. Wow :)
Now i just need working utility to occasionally change AlienFX colors on my X51 R2 desktop and Windows partition can rest in peace. Also need to check if new XBOX One S controller will work through bluetooth.
Busy weekend ahead.. busy.. busy.. need fresh air..

Valve's Steam Play should work better today, as DXVK was left in debug mode causing a performance drop

Is it possible also backup and restore Windows games in native linux client when they are compatible with new Steam Play? I have some Windows games backed up, for example Doom 2016. Can i restore from this backup to Steam client beta? I really don't want to re-download this game again under linux..
Windows 10 S might alarm Valve into boosting SteamOS again

So if my gaming rig came with Win10Pro, next build will lock me out of win32 api, unless i pay 49$ ? Or i'll try to use Home edition or maybe turn off Windows Update service or... uhmm i will move full time to linux with my PS4 as gaming backup..

I would like to thank Feral for continuous linux support, delivering great AAA ports and steady ignoring haters and idiots who don't deserve your care(Observer discussion..). You're practically the #1 linux publisher from day one while others doesn't give a phuck :)
