From day 1 of proton, I have wished if they will just add a dang indicator on the library page like the do for controller enabled games. Shouldn't be that hard. Add an option to the steam play override option to so you can have more control over this.

Quoting: ProfessorKaos64That's my ticket, die hard SteamOS fella. Kind of annoying you need a workaround for a simple tick box in the UI that I probably would add if I had the code. Proton does work very well in SteamOS.
Sorry for hijacking, but is there a good way to install the current version of Minecraft on SteamOS? The one with the new launcher? I used to be able to install the old one without much fuss (also using your installer from SteamOS-Tools) but I gave up on the new one. But the kid still pesters me about it.
Sure I can take a look this weekend. If you can, submit an issues ticket.

Quoting: buckysrevengeThere's been an open issue since August [External Link] requesting a setting in BPM for Steam Play/Proton configurations. There's also a workaround in the comments that helps people like me who have problems loading the desktop client by editing the configuration file directly.

Kinda lame you can't download the installer script separately. If I click Linux on the download page on my Chromebook, it takes me back to the main download page for the app, and download now says "no downloads found for your OS".

Edit: Entering "https://nuts.itch.zone/download/linux" seems to work. The installer is a GUI, so you can't invoke it via the CLI without a display..

Definitely pushing out a SteamOS package for this by end of week for SteamOS-Tools. Shouldn't be much different than how I got Brutal Dook into a package. Just some presets in files.

That Google doc is a bit of a mess. Vakve is accepting issues ojln the Proton GutHub page, and I think someone pushes results to the wiki there as well. Issue templates are in progress for submissions.
