Some nuts Black Friday deals for Linux gamers to make note of
25 Nov 2016 at 1:54 pm UTC

I'm gonna buy Life is Strange for my Linux Steam account...
And maybe Deus Ex Mankind Divided.. But the Deluxe version is not 50% off.

For those still interested, it looks like Homefront: The Revolution for Linux is still being worked on

The betakey was deleted, so I thing two options: Or the game will be released on Linux soon or the Linux version will be cancelled soon.

You might want to keep an eye on 'Silence', the new point & click adventure from Daedalic Entertainment

The DEMO is also available on GOG [External Link] and on Steam, but it is Windows exclusive.

It's looking like Linux may hit 3,000 games on Steam by the end of 2016

Quoting: Comandante oardoOf those 3000, how many are real BIG games with day 1 release?
XCOM2?
Stellaris?
Pillars Of Eternity?
SOMA?
The Talos Principle?
How many of those games have multi-language Voiceover support?...

I ask because THAT is MY standard for a BIG game: When You have to read subtitles, it ruins the inmersion in the gameplay...

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (not a day1 Linux version, but just two months delayed) and The Talos Principle indeed fits in that category.

About Xcom 2. Is not my kind of game (I don't like turn based strategy; I prefer a mix between strategy and FPS, like Brothers
in Arms, but that saga wasn't ported to Linux)

SOMA (purchased on GOG and on my Steam Linux account), sadly doesn't have multi-language voiceover, so, for me, is a not true AAA.. For me, is another Indie game, but with a little bit more budget than Amnesia and Penumbra.

I will buy Deus Ex: Mankind Divided in this christmas sales for my Steam Linux account, just because the Linux version is not infected by Denuvo...
To bad that this game is infected with Steam. If They release it on GOG, I would pay full price for it.

Quoting: TuxeeC'mon. Bore someone else.

There are no games on Linux...
There are no quality games on Linux...
There are no quality AAA games on Linux...
There are no quality AAA games with day 1 release on Linux...

What next?

I don't get. Seriously. If you are so starving for all the quality triple-A titles with day one support - stick to Windows. Please.
If You like to be a second-class gaming citizen and eat the leftovers from console people and Windows people, is up to You..

I dont like to be a second-class gaming citizen... That's why I have two machines, one with Linux Ubuntu (because I like the platform) and other with a legit Windows 7 (because I need the platform).

To release a Linux version of a game one year or more after the Windows release is a lack of respect... Is now or never.

Quoting: LinasThere are no quality AAA games exclusively on Linux...

:P
I know You were joking, but actually, that is what the gaming on Linux needs; a good AAA Linux exclusive game that forces the windows gamers to make a partition and install linux just for to play that game... And for that We need a Linuxian millonaire.. Or start our own Dev company via crowdfunding.

GOG Connect has new games for you to grab from Steam for free if you already own them

Quoting: g000hI'm a bit peeved with GOG Connect. The last time it was up and running (a few weeks ago, maybe 3 weeks), I noticed a number of games on the Connect system - one being "Dex". Then a day later, I picked up Dex on Steam on sale (probably 75% off). Immediately after buying I was back on GOG Connect trying to make the connect so that Dex would be added to my GOG account too. Well the Connect was no longer available... so I thought: I'll wait 'til the next one....

Well now is the next one, and the game "Dex" is no longer available to connect from my Steam account. Fortunately another 3 games were available, that I didn't have before on GOG, but no Dex.

I'm tempted to say it is going through a testing / analytics phase at the moment, but that doesn't alleviate my frustration.
Now, DEX is free when you reach the 15000XP :)

Quoting: Comandante oardoAnd I'm gonna buy THE WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT - GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION [External Link]
Note that it's still unplayable on Linux, and it seems Wine is pretty far away from good DX11 support yet.
I know, but I have two PC's; one with Ubuntu and another with a legit Windows 7 64bit Pro, so that is not a problem...
I like to support CD-projekt Red because, unlike other Devs and publishers, They trust their consumers with the GOG's DRMFREE philosophy.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided released for Linux, port report and review
3 Nov 2016 at 10:12 pm UTC

Besides the DRM and the very high price (90U$D for the Deluxe Edition is INSANE), Is to bad this game doesn't come with mod tools... With that, this game indeed would be the new Crysis.
