I think Codeweavers should work with VALVe for to bring an official compatibility layer to SteamOS.. keep in mind that most of the steam catalogue will NEVER be ported to Linux... You know.. EA.. Activision.. Ubisoft.. Bethesda..

Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh tested on Linux, very freaky

Quoting: Segata SanshiroThere's a bright future for the industry I think. Lots of talented people, lots of Linux-friendly people. I mean, look at GODOT. Some of the main barriers to the industry will most likely disappear over this next year as well, so we'll be seeing a lot more stuff from Argentina.

I'd love to see a game using the storytelling techniques of Borges or even some sort of political sim where you manage the country from 1920 onwards or something and make sure it doesn't turn out crap haha.
And the best thing is that this game is BILINGUAL, meanwhile most argentinian games are english only...
I hate when a sudamerican game is in english only... I understand the fact that the english language open doors to the international market, but THE DEVS SHOULD NOT FORGET THEIR ORIGINS.. :><:

I respect the Doorways devs because they don't forget their origins :)

GOL Asks: What have you been playing on Linux & SteamOS recently?

Recently? Bioshock 1 DRMFREE Humblebundle edition via WINe.

I would like to see a Bioshock Redux: The two original games but with the graphics, gameplay and the Linux compatibility of Bioshock Infinite.

I've said it before though, we need more AAA games no matter what people in our comments think about them, as they help sell it to the people that the general public will be taking at their word.
I disagree. We don't need AAA games already released on Windows.. We need some AAA exclusives games... (at least, exclusives for a while)
If VALVe release HalfLife 3 or Portal 3 first on SteamOs/Linux and MAC and a year later the Windows and consoles version, that will be a GOOD incentive for switch to SteamOS/Linux... But that will not happen..

Honestly, I don't understand what VALVe is trying to do with all this..

Another thing I would like to see are SteamOS/Linux ports from console exclusive games like the old but good Bad Company, The Last of US remastered; The Order: 1886; Bloodborne.. Uncharted..etc.. .. But, sadly, that is not going to happen...(unless VALVe make some deal with SONY, but that WILL NOT HAPPEN)

well... In Steam OS we can not add the game library on an specific disk and we ca not backup games like We can do with the regular Steam client..
Remember, in the bigpicture mode everything must be super easy; You can not tell an Steam OS user to open a terminal and sudo this or sudo that.

Darksiders & Darksiders II Linux Ports Have Not Been Forgotten About

Quoting: dubigrasuLeszlek explained later that it was little he (or any other dev for that matter) could do about loading times because the insane amount of shaders this specific game is using, so it was a choice of the game as it is, or no game at all.
Deadfall Adventures makes my machine (i5 4690K GTX 960) freeze and crash.. I ignore if the game was updated later, improving the performance.

Bioshock Infinite use the same engine and there is no Loading Time problem...

Or that guy is a bad porter or the VP method is much better... I guess.
