Quoting: Mountain ManIt depends on the terms of the contract. It really doesn't. If the employment is over the contract is over, the terms in the contract are irrelevant at that point.

Quoting: Foxv71He signed a contract which to me means something.... So if he broke it then he can just suck it up butter cup and get sued :).Unless Trendy are still paying him, the contract is over.

Life Is Strange looks like it's being ported to Linux by Feral Interactive

I liked the characters, liked the story, liked the art style, liked the geeky cultural references. I also liked how they took a meta-game mechanic (rewind any decision) and made it a game mechanic but then built the story in such a way that even if you played out all possible choices at a given decision point you still couldn't be sure what the 'right' thing to do would be.
Things I didn't like: mouse control was awkward, the few events in the game where you had to get something done quickly were very frustrating.

Quoting: legluondunetThis game looks very interesting. Someone tested it?I played the demo at EGX Rezzed last year and knew it would be something I'd like. I finally caved when episode 1 was available at the $1 level in that HumbleBundle. After playing through that in WINE I couldn't contain myself and bought 2-5 in the next sale. It's definitely the sort of game I enjoy, so I wouldn't expect everyone to like it as much as I did, but I think it's the best current example of the 'story driven choice and consequence' genre.

I went through a massive Divinity: Original Sin phase, got as far as the castle with all the traps; then I went into a massive Saint's Row IV phase (which also included Gat Outta Hell), completed the story and picked up three quarters of the achievements. I'm currently in a Shroud of the Avatar phase, to the point where I'm considering spending even more money in the add-on store.
I've also been co-oping Borderlands: The Pre-sequel once a week with my mate (I've completed it solo before, but it's his first playthrough) and spending my lunch/trash time on Sunrider Academy and Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius.
I would have liked to be playing Soul Axiom but I'm still waiting for either the devs or Nvidia to come up with a fix.

Quoting: ricki42This has me worried about Umbra (or Wolcen as it's now called). Also Kickstarter, also CryEngine, also no word on Linux since the campaign, and the Alpha is to go into Early Access on March 24.Steam store page for Wolcen doesn't have Linux system requirements [External Link].

I quite enjoyed it too (Vendetta, didn't buy the original), though I think they should have been selling it for 33-50% less than what they were asking for it.

Quoting: Mountain ManI haven't had much luck playing Steam games through Wine. I tried Lego Lord of the Rings and got some strange error that it couldn't access the graphics device. From the WineHQ page for this game it seems like you need to install d3dx9_41, xact and xinput with winetricks. I had no trouble getting Lego Harry Potter to run in my standard Steam wineprefix (where I have those things set up already), I expect they're all on the same engine.

I played this at EGX. Apart from my total inability to do shooting games with a controller it seemed a lot of fun: multiple ways to achieve objectives and a mix of shooting and stealth.

This weekend I have mostly been doing choice & consequence adventures - Episode 1 of Life is Strange with WINE (acquired for $1 in recent HumbleBundle) and Knee Deep, a 'swamp noir' adventure game. I also found some time for Dying Light.
Last week I made the fatal mistake of reinstalling HuniePop and then spent (according to Steam) 14.9 hours getting the "Buying Love" achievement.
