New Linux Gamer Survey For December
1 Dec 2015 at 3:12 pm UTC

Quoting: aLAlso, which ship to europe? most i have seen so far are US only, arent they?
Scan are in Europe: http://www.scan.co.uk/3xs/custom/gaming/steam-machines [External Link]

Not sure how replaceable their graphics cards are.

Quoting: ricki42That would still track changes over time, but would be less hit-or-miss for people who don't buy as many games.
That should all average out over the hundreds of people taking the survey anyway - if there are 60 people who buy a game every three months then there will be approximately 20 every month who bought 1 game and 40 every month who bought no games. If it's kept at a single month then we should also get to see if there are any big spikes in the single purchase a month figures when a big game gets released.

Linux Drops Below 1% On The Steam Hardware Survey
6 May 2015 at 6:11 pm UTC

Quoting: OrkultusYeah they are doing these surveys all wrong.
Based on 125 million users, to get 95% confidence that their results are within 0.1% of the actual values they would need 953077 completed surveys, or about 0.76% of their user base each month. Put another way: a typical user would be asked to fill in a survey less frequently than once every hundred months on average.

Are these figures purely for sales post-launch? I would never have backed the Kickstarter if it hadn't offered Linux support.

I've played this a couple of times, it was at EGX Rezzed in 2014 and 2015. It was a little awkward to control with the keyboard but better with a controller, I still died though :)

I filled out the feedback form for Rezzed both years and put "Please release for Linux" in the feedback for the developer section, glad to see they're listening ;)
