Linux version of 'The Coma: Recut' removed at release after taking pre-orders
24 Sep 2017 at 9:29 pm UTC

Quoting: slaapliedjeThat is because places like Germany actually have consumer protection, unlike the US where the companies are treated like entities and people are the product.
That's not entirely true. Companies in the US can and have been successfully sued for false advertising. The problem is that it's usually a class-action lawsuit, meaning that the lawyers walk away with millions while the individual plaintiffs (that is the consumers who were actually ripped off) are given a paltry settlement.

I guess you could say that this port has been...

banished.

Yeeeaaaahhhh!

After much delay, the “Summer 2017 Update” for Civilization VI is finally out on Linux

There haven't been any announcements of Linux-specific performance improvements either...
That's a pity.

It's still a fantastic game and, in my opinion, arguably the best Civ game to date, and even with the low-framerates, it's still responsive and playable. But faster framerates would be nice.

Dominions 5 announced with Day-1 Linux support

Quoting: TheSHEEEPI really like playing Dominions.
It would just be nice if they could implement an actual SP with some basic AI diplomacy so that it can serve for a bit more than just random testing...
What? No single player? Well there goes my interest.

Unsung Story, a game previously funded by Kickstarter has started again under a new developer
7 Sep 2017 at 5:38 pm UTC

Quoting: Doc AngeloWow... is this for real? Playdek collected the money and did not even develop an alpha or something? It would be only fair to give the Kickstarter money to the new developer. But as I understand, the money is already "spent". But on what exactly?
Based on the comments from backers, it sounds like they may have used the money to fund other games they already had in development with the idea that they would use the profit from those games to fun Unsung Story. I, of course, have no way to confirm these accusations.

Quoting: Doc AngeloHow is it legally? If the Kickstart project literally doesn't do anything, can he be sued? Or is every developer completely free to do as they like with any amount of money?
Kickstarter supposedly has a mechanism in place for holding people accountable, but the reality is, there seems to be nothing stopping people from doing whatever they want with the money. All that's needed is a "good faith effort" for them to fulfill their obligation, a term that's apparently open to interpretation.

Ah, yes, another Kickstarter success. At least it was a success for the original developer who seems to have taken the money and run.

Since you admit to trolling, I assume you're aware that the incidences of brain injury in football players (and injuries in general) have been overblown by liberal activists and the mainstream media.
Let me rephrase what you just said:

Thank you for your insight.

Random observation: writing "MacOS" in all caps looks very strange... "MACOS".

Excited for Tropico 6? Here's a new trailer to keep you going

Tropico 5 had too many mediocre reviews for me to feel comfortable buying it. Maybe 6 will be an improvement.
