Quoting: finaldestI may just (for the very first time) request a steam refund.Last I checked, I still have the game in my library, and I do enjoy playing it, but I may ask for a refund out of principle because dropping a previously supported platform is unconscionable. I can somewhat understand not releasing future expansion packs for Linux and Mac, but dropping support entirely? There's no excuse for that. The question is, will Valve give refunds? Because a lot of us are obviously well past the 2-hours/7-days time limit.
It looks like we may be getting a Planescape Torment Enhanced Edition

Quoting: qptain NemoNice. I hope that means Steam.Well, "it works perfectly" in the sense that it runs without any slowdowns, crashes, etc.
Quoting: Mountain ManGoG has had a Linux version of Planescape Torment for some time. It's a Wine wrapper, but it works perfectly.Your mileage may vary as they say, but I definitely wouldn't call that perfectly. It's been a while but when I tried it it was pretty bad with the game taking over the entire desktop preventing alt+tabbing or something along those lines. Playing P:T using GemRB is much, much better if you ask me (which you can still do using your GOG copy of course). But hopefully this upcoming release will make all this moot regardless.

Quoting: EikeI never even had heard about Planescape: Torment until 2016. I wonder if I should fetch it. Heard great things. For role players, it's arguably the best cRPG ever made. I say "for role players" because it has some shortcomings as a video game, but it is an outstanding RPG.

It ultimately doesn't matter because it's easy enough to wipe the drive and install whatever you want.

Quoting: slaapliedjeI think it'd be great if laptop / desktop manufacturers could go back to the good old days of not supplying an OS with the computer, so that we could put whatever we want onto it.They stopped doing that because Microsoft used to charge manufacturers for a Windows license even if they shipped without Windows.

I fully expect Star Citizen to be one of the most expensive bombs in video game history.

Update didn't do a thing for the performance. It's just as bad as before.

I'm hoping for performance improvements. I would like to get more than 15 frames per second on a busy map on low settings. Civ 5 runs great on the same same system with everything maxed.
As for the game itself, I think it's perhaps the best Civ game to date, although the AI could use some help.

Quoting: rea987Do you have snarks by that point in the hands game? I can't remember.Quoting: Mountain ManMy method for dealing with the ninjas in the original is to plant laser mines around the level and then hide until they blow themselves up. This works surprisingly well. One word; snarks. ;-)

Also did they remove the ninjas from the game? Those where the worst experience in the original.
