Steam Controller On Ubuntu, A Tweak You Need To Do

Mine should arrive by the time I get home from work. Seeing lots of bad-mouthing on the Steam forums (what else is new?), but I get the impression most people have only played with it a few minutes which isn't really enough time to formulate a valid opinion.

AMD Lose Another Big Name, This Time To Nvidia

Yes, it's AMD's fault that mr-egg is late for work. It couldn't have anything to do with his time-management skills. What a terrible company.

AMD CPUs are pretty solid. It's just their graphic card drivers that are crap.

Wasteland 2: Director's Cut Released, Looking Good For Linux

"Save files won't transfer over either, as there were too many changes."

Oh! That sucks. I was waiting for the Director's Cut to finish my current play-through, but it looks like I'll be starting a new game instead. Bummer.

Firewatch, The Stunning First-person Adventure Game To Release On 9th February 2016 For Linux

Quoting: GuestI’ve been following their blog for a while, and the game sure looks good, but I still have no idea what the gameplay will be like. Walking simulator? First person puzzler? Action? Adventure?
I wasn't sure about that either. At first I thought this was another survival game (of which there seem to many right now).

Linux is more stable, more secure, and more flexible than other platforms, and it has excellent backwards compatibility. It's the superior choice for developers who want to future-proof their software.

I see you've realized that you can "like" your own comments. That's cute.

Since you apparently have nothing more to say, I'll assume you concede the point and will wish a good day.

Quoting: melkemindVP's performance track record is now better than both Aspyr and Feral (as much as the people on this site probably don't want to hear that).
There's not anywhere near a big enough sample size to make that declaration. I've been very happy with what Aspyr and Feral have done to date. I know Shadows of Mordor lagged behind Windows in terms of performance, but I still get great framerates, and the game is rock-solid stable, so I really don't care about comparative benchmarks.
So, I need a large sample size to make my "declaration", but you only need your own opinion to make yours? LOL Nice.

You're basically saying you only care about how it makes you feel (benchmarks don't matter), and you don't care about how well it works for anyone else. [sarcasm]You're a real team player.[/sarcasm] If you're satisfied with mediocre gaming performance, have fun with that, but don't hate on other people's excitement about an upcoming game.
What got your panties in a bunch? Sheesh. Seriously, man, if you're going to have a temper tantrum every time one of your statements is challenged then I suggest you stay away from the internet.

You appeared to be making an objective statement of fact which is why I challenged it. I then pointed out, by way of personal anecdote, that there is a difference between benchmarks and real-world gameplay experiences. Yes, I know that Shadow of Mordor technically performs worse in Linux than in Windows, but since it still performs quite well in Linux, what does it really matter?

Now, are you ready to discuss this like an adult? Or are you going to throw another hissy fit?
