Thanks, Liam, I really appreciate your attention to this. It is a chore, but something that is overdue for everyone in the industry. It is too bad the burden is a bit heavier for smaller sites.

Well said.

Well, as I said before, I loved Tolva. Some folks also recommended Valley so I just played it a couple days ago. It was great! Way better than I expected. Quite simple in some ways, but really nicely designed. Good graphics, good voice acting and well-balanced gameplay.

If it had come out back for the first Xbox, everyone would have been completely stunned. We are so spoiled now I am amazed it hasn't gotten more press.

I have been playing the new area. More goodness!

If you didn't like it before, this probably won't change your mind. However, I think it is awesome. Some nice new locations. Same haunting lonely atmosphere. Seems pretty big for a free expansion.

I loved this game. Really excited to see more content.

Quoting: dubigrasuI can definitely see it not being everyone's cup of tea. But oh yes, it needs moar land, I explored every corner of the map and still want more. Something in this game is strangely addictive.
Sorry to be so positive :)
Yes, it is not a game that everyone will like. I think a good test is: Did you like wandering around the wasteland in Fallout 3 or New Vegas and just seeing what was there? If not, then this game isn't for you.

Reading the Tolva backstory PDF helped give more idea of why the planet was interesting. I really hope they do more games in that universe.

Quoting: scaineLiterally waiting to buy this, but it seems they're quite happy in EA.
This is one of only two games I have ever bought before official release. The other was Distance. No regrets on both!

Once every thousand years, when the planets align, someone gets Early Access right -- providing a game that is genuinely fun and then improving it. I do wonder if Distance will ever release, though.

I was so impressed with how they got Talos to run so fast on Vulkan-Linux, so far ahead of everyone else. CroTeam are a huge asset to the Linux gaming community!

Can anyone confirm that if I buy Leaving Lyndow, I will actually be able to play it? I understand not having official support, but I would like to give it a try.

Edit: Since it was on sale, I bought it anyway. I have only fired it up to play the first minute but it looks to be running perfectly.

I like the dev's honesty.

This looks really cool. Thanks for the review.

If you finished the game, how long did it take you? Is there much of a story to make it interesting?
