Posting the next day: Game is still smooth and I have had no game issues at all. However, Steam achievements are not working on Linux yet. Hopefully they will fix that before it gets out of beta.
Art style is great. Controls are tight. Having a lot of fun...

Yes! It is smooth as silk for me as well. What a great game! The devs have done a good port, as far as I can tell.
I am only about an hour in to it, but I am hooked already.

I am glad they will continue to support Linux. I really enjoyed Teslagrad - I even got all the achievements (and yes, it was pretty hard in places). I have a serious weakness for good Metroidvania games.
I hope the shift to a different play-style works out ok. I liked the minimalist storytelling of their first game, but gameplay is still important.

This is great! I don't own SS1 and SS2 yet, so I look forward to seeing how the update performs on Linux. I enjoyed SS3 (but Talos even more). Croteam are seriously awesome (pun intended)!

Ah, Leopard is just being Leopard. He gets ranting about the lack of AAA games every so often.
One more data point: I have owned several consoles in the past. I only play on Linux now. These "not real games" that folks are mentioning seem to keep me pretty busy. Over 300 of them, personally.

Quoting: t3gI just wish Valve used login and gametime stats instead of a silly survey.I agree with this!

Liam, that is a nice test and I think it gives a decent data point. However, you should be aware that your operating system will often allocate more RAM if it has it available. Since you have 16GB, you will (probably) be seeing higher RAM usage than someone with the same setup but 8GB instead.
Things like browsers commonly take more RAM on higher-spec systems. Other people may be able to fill in more detail.
