Sublevel Zero, A First-person Roguelike Six-degree-of-freedom Shooter Coming To Linux

I played already the Windows version for many hours - it is simply marvellous, one of the best descent-like games, with perfect gampad controlls (xbox gamepad), great graphics, good difficulty curve, and a nice mixture of rougelike-elements.
Highly recommended - a real hidden gem, criminally overlooked.

For me, its Sword Coast Legends and ... Starcrawlers (this one could be a nice blast form the past!).

Looks Like Grid Autosport Could See A Linux Release Soon

After sinking a dozen hours into this on windows: Its actually one of the better Codemasters-Racers, as it strikes the perfect balance between simulation and arcade - at least for me. Some of the leagues are pure genius, like touring, ore quite good, like street racing, but others are a little dull, like endurance or the dreadful drifting events in muscle cars. Nevertheless, I can only highly recommend this one, alone for touring and street racing... (and there is not much competition right now on Linux - I have read that the gamepad-handling of "project cars" it terrible). One more thing: the gamepad controls are very good in grid autosport.

GOL Asks: What Was Your Favourite Linux Game Release In August?

For me, its also clearly Shadowrun Hong Kong. Its gorgeous. I was a quite disappointed by Satellite Reign, even as it is a really pretty game - it seems, the whole hyped Syndicate-Gameplay is not my cup of tea. CoH2 has a bad story mode (full of clishees) an I could not get into the whole RTS-Gameplay... Stopped playing after about 2 hours.

Point-And-Click Adventure 'Anna's Quest' Released On GOG And Steam For Linux

I really enjoy Adventures, but the Daedalic-Games were always rather disappointing. The "humor" of Deponia is really strange (proud to be an asshole), even sexist and racist at times, and many riddles in most of their Games are flawed. The only good German Adventure is Book of unwritten tales, in my opinion.

GOL Cast: Double The Headache With Snakebird And TIS-100

I really like the Snakebirds - they are so lovable, even cute. It would be great to have a snakebird as as real pet. ;-)
The game is really hard as nails, but you will have quite a sense of accomplishment after finishing a deviously difficult puzzle.

Yes, this is definitely a hidden gem of Linux gaming. I spent some time with this game, and it is really a nice retro experience.
