Slapping minions, defeating heroes and being delightfully evil in Dungeons 3, my thoughts

If you like to buy it anyway I'd suggest to buy it instant to support them. Publishers look especially to the sales within the first days. So if they have a stable Linux base ordering they'll hopefully continue to release on day 1 for us.

Also, we can sent in Logs and bug reports to help them out sorting out bugs.

This recommendation is only true for companies that are known to support Linux well like Kalypso does.

The Humble Down Under Bundle is a very good deal for Linux gamers

The funny thing about Humble is that they used to be the good ones until DRM AND now IGN happened. Also, GOG used to be not to be seen in such a good light because they just do Linux as a side business, not because they're fully in line with it and want to make it grow. Now they're like the saints, funny, isn't it?

Actually none of the stores are saints, they all want to earn money. Some do it a little more Linux friendly, some don't. The idea of donating is of course nice within the humble store.

But anyway, what's the point of thinking about this too much? Having DRM free games does not make sence at all of the games have closed source, I may install closed source for a driver etc.....

Anyway, I guess the bundle is pretty nice.

Actually if you guys do punish IGN for things they have not done (abandon Linux) and don't pay them money, you just help them to legitimate drop that or at least the slider. As long as nothing has changed visibly I wouldn't change anything in my behaviour neither.

Thank you very much for the review, Liam! I loved Dungeons II so I'm sure it will be the same with this one.

If I wouldn't have been hiking on release day in the Kaukasus in Georgia I would have bought the game already. :'P

Time to download all my content for all platforms and music from there. By the way, there's the hib downloader on Linux for that which I could really recommend. Doing this manually could be a day job.

GOG are offering you a copy of Torchlight II if you own it from Steam or Runic directly

Quoting: LumumbaSo one could buy it on steam, claim it from gog and then refund it on steam?
Most likely one could do it. It's actually stealing from the publisher then because he won't get paid. Why don't you just pirate it then?

It's not that you should care about people downloading ISOs they did not pay for. It's more about that some countries, e.g. Germany, prohibit especially uploading copyrighted material. It's for the sake of that fact that people should pay attention.

If there won't be any unexpected hiccups, I'll buy this game at release day.

I really don't get what your guys problem is. Actually I'm playing games on Linux because it's my main and almost only system I do use and love. I don't care about any numbers as long as I got good games.

The only thing I hope is that there'll be enough players in the future to justify Linux game development.

Even if there wouldn't I won't skip back to Windows, instead just sticking with what I got and play less since I don't have time anyways.

But as long as (good) indie titlesbabd (Feral) AAA titles are floating in I don't see your problem.

Quoting: goldenkHmm I may need to pick this game up. How's controller support? It says it supports it but how is it really?
I saw a german review where they said it's more fun playing it with a controller - but mouse and keyboard works as well. I'm note sure if this is true for Linux also but I think it's a good indicator the game is also developed around controller. Since I did not buy / play it yet I can't say for sure.
