Looks like 'Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive' may be coming to Linux

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTWow, that would be amazing! Actually I'd love to play this game again! I spent so many hours on that one as a child.

Also, I think people like us are exactly the ones they're targeting with such ports. It's unlikely kids will play these old games under Linux.
The problem I have with this is most of us already own a copy so they're not going to make much money by porting it, unless we all start gifting copies to strangers. ;)
Since I used to play it with a CD, I don't own it on Steam. And since it is out right now I'll buy it when I'm back home!

Edit: Is it native or wrapped?

@Liam, if you would be an American, "It's not bad!" would mean "It's awful!". (;

You can grab Dungeons 3 on Humble Store, GOG and Steam for around £3.99.
I'm no currency expert, but I think this maybe should have been 39.99? (at least that's more along the prices I see on those links...)
Woops, corrected. That's the DLC price.
I would assume it's the price of the DLC, since this seems to be 4,99 € for me.

Quoting: PatolaFinal DLC? So now we're all set for Dungeons 4?
Or maybe the series is just done now? Dungeons 3 was a good successor to Dungeons 2, but not such a huge difference.

They would have to keep the feeling of the game while inventing something new at the same time. That's never easy.

I'd better like them to come up with a good and competitive RTS game which has the potential to be as big as Starcraft used to be.

DXVK, the Vulkan compatibility layer for Direct3D 11 and Wine has a fresh release reducing CPU overhead

Quoting: MohandevirThanks!

Going to try that too. I was probably following the wrong tutorial or misunderstood something. It was about building Wine to run DXVK. Got problems with missing dependencies that couldn't get installed and I was running out of time so I gave up trying. That's why I asked for a PoL script.

Imo, PoL is a clean way of managing your wine games (when you have more than one) in a single interface. Lutris seems good too, It's just that I never tried.

Anyway, before getting a PoL script, DXVK will need to be integrated into wine, I guess...

Does the Steam version of Witcher 3 will work with DXVK, if the Steam overlay is disabled? Do I need to do something else? I don't have the GOG version.

Thanks again!
You need Wine 3.5 or newer, otherwise you need to obtain it, either via PPA, AUR etc. or you have to build it.

About the Witcher: I don't know.

You will be able to build amusement parks, zoos and more in the upcoming Cities: Skylines - Parklife expansion

It wasn't bad, it was just not optimal and way behind Windows, especially if you had bigger cities and played for a long time.

I think the gap is much smaller right now but I would have to test that.

@Cyba.Cowboy: When did you start to play this game? In the past the performance was sometimes not very well, but I think they did regular updates of the engine as well. I think it even does support Vulkan nowadays.

Does anyone know which Unity Engine version they use right now?

Rise of the Tomb Raider tested on AMD RX 580
19 Apr 2018 at 9:57 pm UTC

Obviously it's doubtfull, but since DirectX 12 doesn't perform as it should and DirectX 11 has a significant CPU overhead with AMD graphics cards on Windows it's possible. Feral is in some scenarios pretty close to even out results. A little more optimization for RADV and the port and it could happen. ;)

It would also be interesting to compare DXVK under Windows and under Linux as well and see if there's a difference.
