While not as fun as it used to be, it's still one of the better FPS games on Linux imho. :)

Tannenberg & Verdun FPS games updated, Linux versions have some big input issues

I haven't had had the input issues mentioned. As for the supposed performance boost, I haven't seen much difference in average fps, but the game does feel a lot smoother since the update. My main issue with tannenberg (don't have verdun yet) is the memory leak. The game uses about 5GB of RAM at launch, but after 2-3 matches, it maxes out my 8GB, and starts slamming my swap partition. I can rarely get more then about an hour of playtime before the game completely freezes/crashes. Overall though, I am really enjoying the more tactical style of combat. :) Now if only my random squadmates would obey their NCO...

Sweet! :D I've recently fallen in love with this game, but sadly, it suffers from a memory leak, and crashes on me constantly. Hopefully this patch will help in that regard.

Quoting: liamdaweGotta admit, I really appreciate the fact that they respect the difference enough to change it. :)Quoting: KimyrielleOn Steam store, it actually says "Open Code", not open source. And they also say that it's ok to be used for modding purposes. Which is not -quite- open source, but still above and beyond of what close to 100% of all game developers do, who habitually tend to faint if you dare asking for the source code of games they stopped selling 20 years go.I'm pretty sure they must have seen this article, it did say Open Source until after I posted this. It also still says it on itch.io and checking history of the page (wayback machine and others) it did say Open Source.
And the game looks fairly interesting, too!
So I guess they read what I said :P
Edit: They "liked" our Tweet about it, so I assume they did read it, good to see it corrected though :)

Quoting: liamdaweOk, cool. :) Just submitted.Quoting: ElvanexThis isn't a game, but for the Favorite Foss Project, would LSI (Linux Steam Integration) from the Solus devs count? I didn't see it as an option, but I'm not sure if that's something that goes on the database or not.Considering last year we accepted software and Wine is accepted as a nomination, I see no reason why LSI couldn't be nominated too.
When adding stuff like that, just hit the "Is an application?" checkbox (I'll adjust the text later to say software rather than application).
