Stadia continues the slow downward spiral

Which game did this? I'm on KB+M and everything works even MK11.
He's likely talking about PUB. Initially it was playable with both gamepads or KB+M, and it used different cross-play features/servers depending on what you were using (gamepad vs KB+M). I think gamepad users were cross-playing only with console players for example.
Eventually though they discontinued the KB+M option arguing that nobody used it, although later many were unhappy with that.
But from what I understood at the moment, that was a PUB developers decision, not Stadia's, and presently you can use both input methods on any game except PUB (AFAIK).

buy games individually OR pay monthly or just play the free games.

I got a few games from Stadia via of their rewards program. The rest of the games I play on there are free. No pro or payment card needed.
Oh yeah, forgot about that one :) Not sure how many they are, I think is at least Destiny 2, which can be a real time sink-hole.
  • Rainbow Six: Extraction

  • PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS

  • Destiny 2

  • SUPER BOMBERMAN R ONLINE

  • Super Animal Royale

  • Nine To Five Early Access

  • HITMAN - Free Starter Pack

  • Crayta
Wow, what? Rainbow Six: Extraction? (brb)
Oh yeah, trial for two hours version...hm, I never liked this two-hours free thing. Ubisoft likes to do that apparently. I think they did the same with the Division 1 once, but it sucked. Better have a free level (or week) to mess with and methodically get the hang of things, two hours instead fly out fast and you're still clueless (I was anyway).

I don't think you really buy games on stadia, closest to really buying a game these days is GOG with their offline installer
I think you know what I meant, please don't try to drag me in one of those ownership discussion.

I'm not sure how would they go about this, they're not the usual desktop games that we can use. From people that had access to them we know that they can be (somewhat) easily modified to run on consumer hardware, but even so, that implies some extra serious work for the whole library, from a company that might not be able to bleed extrafunds at that point.
Or, maybe they just have rights to the Windows version of the respective games and make those available for download? IDK.

Quoting: pmadzikI tried it (in the free month), but the quality was terrible, although it may be the specificity of my internet or dedicated data centers for my country (Poland).
That's surprising considering that they did opened last year a center in Warsaw. I had high hopes in it because it is closer geographically to me, but somehow the connection to/from it is worse than the connection to the distant Frankfurt center, which I still use.

buy games individually OR pay monthly

You can buy individual games and never pay monthly.
You can pay monthly (Stadia Pro) and get access to free games (and bigger discounts) and never pay for games individually.
If you buy individual games, you will have access to them regardless if you choose (or abandon) Stadia Pro or not.
The Stadia Pro free games library size depends on how older subscriber you are, I'm a bit late, so I have only 130 or so.
Edit: there are also some free games that you can play without paying anything.

My problem with Stadia is that seems to be stagnating and some later games are having (at launch at least) some performance issues. Games usually run excellent on Stadia, but a couple of these screwups can totally ruin the perception. Control for example even now runs like crap, and is a big title that people will go for. It looks like their hardware hasn't been updated in a while, and what was good HW few years ago is now already obsolete.
They're not doing much also in terms of expanding the service (and its quality) to other countries. GFN somehow managed to open new centers in East-Europe, dramatically decreasing the latency. Google did not, and this is mind boggling considering who they are.

Not a high profile store, but not bad either.

I don't think those are . . . mainstream hypotheses. Maybe a bit of mammal-centric wishful thinking.
Well, is not pseudo science either, is part of the still ongoing debate about what exactly drove them extinct, and it doesn't necessarily conflicts with the asteroid's impact drastic consequences. For example this one: https://www.pnas.org/content/113/18/5036 [External Link]

If this one or other theories on the subject have any merit, I don't know, and I bet there are counter arguments for each, but it does show that we're still digging and debating what and how it happened.

Quoting: scaineAnd in any case, my main point is really just that trying to convince people that cloud gaming is saving the planet is completely deluded. It might succeed for other reasons, but everyone ditching their gaming rigs to play cloud-based games on chromebooks? This ain't it, chief.
Ah, I see. I now realize that I got your post a bit wrong. I get mildly annoyed when people just skim over my post, ignore the main point and start debating something else, and I did exactly that.
Apologies.
