Quoting: MohandevirJust a sudden tought... Is there a Steam Deck entry in the GOL hardware survey? Sorry!
Curious also about the Steam survey.
And will it count as Arch, Deck, SteamOS?
Funny thing now, I can't access the survey.

Ah, my bad. Well, nevertheless, it was worth mentioning it again.

Two interesting things that Gabe mentioned in an interview were that a) the most expensive SKU was the most pre-ordered one (far more than the cheapest one), which might convince Valve to create more feature-rich models in the future, and b) the demand for the Deck was much more higher than they expected.

Bungie say a big fat no to Proton and Steam Deck for Destiny 2

Quoting: DribbleondoWhat we got was boilerplate PR speak, and nothing more.
I think it was indeed PR speak (I personally believe that this is temporary and eventually they'll make it work), but it was just at the border of PR speak, and right behind/between the words they purposely left a hint of annoyed menace.

Is doing a pretty good job in introducing players to the gyro controls, which btw, are awesome.

Quoting: CyborgZetaValve mentioned before that the Steam Deck can be used as a controller on PC. Have you tested this function yourself? I am interested in plugging in my Deck to my PC and using it as a controller when not playing on the Deck itself.
AFAIK it can only be used through Remote Play as a controller, not plugged in.

Quoting: headless_cyborgI'm curious about Rise/Shadow of the TR because their Feral native ports are IMO perfect so they should be the way to go.
They're good ports but not perfect. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is still receiving updates that Feral hasn't added. They could go back and update all their games, but it's probably not profitable at this point.

Wine/Proton is an open source solution, while Feral's wrapper was not. Dare I say this is a better solution?
Regardless of the open-source vs proprietary argument, certain game ports will run better compared with Proton. And in this case, the ports of both ROTTR and SOTTR run better than the Proton counterparts.

Quoting: alejandro-bringasI hope that at some point they will remove the "launchers" from Feral games, such as Rise of TR or dirt games, where it can become annoying.
I rather see them being kept. I find them well done, very useful and as opposed with many launchers, they can be navigated with a gamepad. Feral did a good job and put some love into them, most if not all are customized for each game.
They can also be dismissed after the first run.
