So Lord of the Rings.

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Confirmed For Linux

To be honest I'm not that ecstatic that this was one of the secret Aspyr's ports.
I had hopes that they're working on heavy AAA projects, something to give Linux and edge of sorts.
I imagine (hope) there's still some great work in progress there though.

To be exact, this game could be tons of fun and all, I have nothing to say against it.
But while personally I don't necessarily need only AAA titles in my library, I think Linux as a platform badly needs them.

Ultimate General: Gettysburg, A Tactical Battle Simulator, Released For Linux With A Big Patch

Quoting: MohandevirJust posted a request for this on Steam forum.
Let's wait and see...
Thank you.
I was a bit pessimistic to do that myself, since most likely it will get buried away very soon by the constant flood of crap (excuse my french) that appears there every day.

Although we can eventually shamelessly bump the thread from time to time?

The Darksiders Linux Port Has Switched Hands

It will probably depend on the amount of used shaders and whatever methods they will use to mitigate the issue.
From what I remember KF2 is made with Linux in mind from the very start and I think we'll have no problems with it.

I bet he has some interesting things to say.
Like this one [External Link]? :D
Actually yes, that was really great, relevant questions and answers galore.
I wish more people will listen to "Unreal Engine 3 shader system is totally unfit for use with OpenGL" part so that the reasons for the long Deadfall/Painkiller loading times will be more understood.

Thanks for the audiocast, great stuff.

Quoting: CheesenessWhen I spoke to him last week, he said he was looking forward to working with creative people on new projects. I imagine he'll help out with Linux stuff, but it sounds like he's keen to sink his teeth into something that isn't digging through other people's code for existing projects.
Maybe you'll convince him to take part on one of your audiocasts someday? :)

Daedalic Releases Goodbye Deponia On Linux

Quoting: Segata Sanshiro...I think there's just a few little things (like a world map) which make the experience feel more cohesive. As a single game though maybe the complete one is more daunting given that the others are around 12 hours each so this should be 36 hours... If you don't want to play that all in one go and maybe just do one every couple of months, then playing them separately may be better. I guess there's no write or wrong answer, just depends on your preferences.
Thanks, I played some more on both version and I think I'll go with the complete version.

What, he was defeated by the silly glitch ? :)
Joke aside, so sorry to hear that, especially now when we need more good porters.
I know that some are discontent with his work on Deadfall and Painkiller but I think he is (was?) good at his job.

I wonder what exactly "leaving the Linux porting business" means. I see he is leaving for The Astronauts, and they're looking into Linux too.

Daedalic Releases Goodbye Deponia On Linux

So suppose I want to start the Deponia story, which one should I choose? (Deponia vs Complete)

I have all 4 of them and so far I can't tell any differences, except some minor extra options in the settings menu (and devs commentary) for the Complete version. Oh yeah, there is also some bonus content.
But are there any extra chapters, fixes etc, to choose the Complete version over the standalone ones?

Quoting: dubigrasuIt is a bit riskier yes, but easy to overcome. It is easier because it gives more precision and control (like speed/direction control) in your movements.
I can't agree with that I'm afraid.
That's perfectly fine :)
