RUINER officially released for Linux on Steam, coming to GOG soon

Quoting: DoctorJunglistI'm using Nvidia, here's the terminal output [External Link] when I run Ruiner.sh directly (I have to do it with having Steam closed, because otherwise the output gets terminated once the game is launched).
It still has a lot of Seam related output there somehow including something about Steam overlay (try disabling that). Try to get the output from the actual game.
Yes, there's Steam output mixed there, because Ruiner.sh starts Steam, and after that - the game.

As I said, if I launch it with Steam already running, the terminal output gets terminated once the game launches.
Usually Unreal 4 games dump their logs in your .config folder, in your case that would be something like:
/home/junglist/.config/Epic/Ruiner/Saved/Logs

Quoting: mt7479Seems to not really work at least on xenial. Cant't see anything happening when checking the unit with journalctl. scaling_governor always stays at powersave.

Maybe a stupid question, do i need to replace %command% with the actual binary when running this from steam ?
No, the %command% bit replaces whatever command/binary is used to start the respective steam game.

Quoting: KetilYou can setup sudo to work without password for certain commands even if they are written in bash. I prefer that over setuid.

myuser ALL = (ALL) NOPASSWD: /usr/local/bin/mysudocommand
Yeah I was about to ask whether you could define a Cmnd_Alias for a shell script in sudoers to then add a NOPASSWD exception; but this approach seems to be even simpler. Does it have to come at the end of the sudoers file though?

... sorry about the off-topic spam, though.
From what I understood it has to be the last line in order to take precedence. Or place it in /etc/sudoers.d in a separate file.

The Signal From Tolva has a free expansion with a new Polar Region to explore

Quoting: GustyGhostIf anything, this game does not need more land. It was boring enough that I couldn't force myself to finish. Signal from Tolva feels less like a game and more like a game engine sample project. Sorry to be so negative.
I can definitely see it not being everyone's cup of tea. But oh yes, it needs moar land, I explored every corner of the map and still want more. Something in this game is strangely addictive.
Sorry to be so positive :)

One of the most beautiful graphics I've seen in a while, not in the Everspace spectacular way, but rather a in more Borderlands-esque style. Space ships/weapons/artifacts design for example, I can't really put a finger on it, but is really a stylish game.
It indeed finished rather abruptly leaving me wanting for more, I guess my wish was granted.

Tried to buy the game directly from their Beamdog client, but you end up buying from their site. Any idea if they track Linux sales this way?
