SDL2 Gamepad Tool, an alternative to Steam Big Picture configurator

It didn't worked in 64 bit mode and no force-feedback unfortunately.
True about 64bit, force-feedback works fine for me.
Probably (like with x360ce) depends on the game.
I did tried also https://github.com/kozec/dumbxinputemu [External Link] ( and https://github.com/00cpxxx/wine-xinput [External Link] )
with various degree of success, some things worked/some not, but so far the x360ce method seems to be the most compatible. Bit finicky to get the xinput files, but once you have them you only have to drop them in the game's folder.
Looking forward to when none of this is needed for Wine though.

Quoting: chancho_zombiemaybe a bit unrelated, there is a new tool for configuring wine with xpad or xbox controller, it's called koku https://github.com/KoKuToru/koku-xinput-wine [External Link] . And it supports SDL2 mapping.

It works better than the xbox emulator (xboxcemu).

LiquidSky, the 'PC in the Cloud' gaming service will support Linux

I do have a Liquidsky account and tested a bit the client. Their current Wine installer is a bit iffy though, so I installed the client manually. It does work very well except for the lag. The cloud computer for the moment is using Nvidia cards.
I still have few credits/hours left but I gave up until a closer server comes up.
Not sure what to say, I'm curious about the free (adverts based) option but it looks like they backing up a little. It was initially supposed to be up to three hours/day but now they cut it to only two hours.

It is a lot worse for HA (CSMT or not on Nvidia)

great video. my only trivial suggestion would be to move the videos up and shove a realtime graph in there. I kept watching the numbers but a graph would have been much easier.
Well, the way I see it the video section is for actual video comparison, as in: are the graphics identical (lights, textures, general feel) ? The FPS counter is just an extra feature, but not really relevant to that video comparison section.
I agree that a real time graph would be better than a FPS counter, but to do it in a consistent manner for both systems is easier said than done.
That's why I prefer to have two distinct sections: a) the video/graphic comparison and b) the detailed performance analysis in the results/graphs section.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI think John Carmack said something like that [External Link]
That's not what he's saying. He just basically advocates for what VP and Feral (not sure about Aspyr) are doing today.
VP's eON might be very much like Wine, but AFAIK Feral's IndirectX is a source level shim, and hardly in the same category. They do not wrap Windows binaries or do runtime API translation.
Yes, they are different approaches, but the essence is that he advocates for Linux versions using a kind of "emulation of some sort" (sic) instead of "completely refactored, high performance native ports".
So basically released/supported Linux versions (whatever the method used) distributed on Steam as opposed to "those people will just buy it anyway and use Wine."

Quoting: no_information_hereI may be wrong, but I have never heard a dev say "We don't need to port to Linux, those people will just buy it anyway and use Wine."
