For new projects I'd use Rust and Vulkan (specifically, the Vulkano wrapper), excellent safety and power all in one.

Study everywhere. And my worn-out old MSI GS70 Stealth laptop with stickers all over it.
Case is a Silverstone Raven RVZ01, runs an ASUS z170 m-itx, i3 Skylake 6100, GTX950, and runs almost all games on high detail at 40 fps or higher.
The i3 is more than adequate for gaming, only notice slowness on parallel compilation due to only 2 dual thread cores.

Wasn't Heavy Gear 2 ported by Loki?

Quoting: SnowdrakeNice.Same here, Mercenaries was bloody good.
I've spent hours on Mechwarrior 2 on my old 486DX2 during my childhood, but I've never touched a single game in the heavy gear series. But seeing a native mech game on linux is pretty excinting.

I seem to recall that even on Windows, SR2 and SR3 had atrocious performance. SR2 in particular was very bad.
Probably not a very wise choice of game for Virtual to bring to Linux tbh.

Quoting: Guesti am really shocked that blizzard has not had someone port wow to linux seeing how big it is,i mean cmon that is a no brainerMaybe Feral or Aspyr should get in there with a proposal?
Quoting: Guest9:10 This is some thing I have realised recently.Absolutely agreed. So many, many! It's either a game holding them back, or a proprietary application (like Photoshop).
Every where I look, forums, reddit, even in word chat on WoW, I notice that most users want to switch, or at least try Linux but can't because their favorite piece of software or game is only on Windows.
The Witness may one day see a Linux port, for fun or for ideological purposes

Who the fuck buys shit on the "Ubuntu Software Centre"..? Is that even still a thing?
J-Blow really, really, needs to sit down, shut up, and have a good think about Linux. Maybe do some discovery and fact finding of his own. Braid was also a niche game, it may not have sold much on either platform due to that.

Quoting: adolsonJuan Linietsky has mentioned making a C# version of Godot Engine once Mono switched to the MIT license. That should make a lot of people happy, since they inexplicably hate GDScript. More options are good. Why the heck don't they just jam Squirrel Script or even Lua in there? Hell, anything *BUT* Charp.

Le sigh.
Yes, this statistic is seriously skewed due to small number of Linux games compared to Windows.
Now if they could release stats for *only* cross-platform games, that number would be very different.
